Happy appy, snuggly, spunky, feisty, and anti-jinxes. Her appy is a bit more on the mid-range side right now, but her demeanor is much, much better than it was a few days ago so hopefully her appy will head to the upper range as the day progresses. The long-term plan for the metronidazole is once daily dosing for several weeks and then we'll see about cutting her back a bit and go from there. Vetty thinks it may be the anti-inflammatory properties rather than the antibiotic properties that are really helping Trix right now, and actually now that she says that I do see that her mobility is much better than it was a few days ago. She's only had one Adequan shot so far (second one is today), so that's really not enough to show mobility improvement just yet....must be the metro. So maybe as the Adequan takes hold, cutting back on the metro will be OK.

My cold still lingers but is slowly, slowly getting better. Unfortunately it looks like DH is now coming down with it...we keep hoping it's allergies, but that's seeming less and less likely.

Gonna run a few errands but generally take it easy today.

Prayers to all.....

Amy

I'm glad Trixie is doing better today and your cold is getting better. I hope your DH doesn't get sick too. Sending prayers.

That actually makes sense since Metro is also a go-to drug for IBD. Glad to hear she's perking up and that you're feeling a bit better. Sorry DH is now coming down with it. Extra scritches for your kitts and :bighug::bighug::bighug: for you Amy.

Hi Amy. Glad to hear the metro is helping. Do you give the adequan to her?

Feel better and hope DH won't able to blame you for a cold.

Yes, I do the injections. She actually tried to bite me when I did it today :nailbiting:o_O...I guess it stings a little. We gave it to our GA civvie Mario years ago, too, and it really helped him...he would meow, but not bite. I just thought he was meowing 'cause he wasn't used to the needle stick but I guess it could have been the Adequan itself. Trix, of course, is used to being stuck from getting SubQs twice a day.

I hope the Adequan helps her so she keeps feeling better as you take her off the Metronidazole.

Glad the appy is improving, and your cold, too. Sending healing vines for DH.
