Today makes 18 months since Max had SRT for acromegaly. Although his dose hasn’t come down as much as I’d hoped for, he still came down to about half of his highest dose since SRT. His quality of life is much better than before and that has made it well worth it.

Think about how much less growth hormone he's got going through his body! Focusing on how Max is feeling and QOL is key. I found it made a huge difference for Neko. So both QOL and longer life made SRT all worthwhile for me. I am also hoping his recent "flatter" cycles makes things more predictable and easier on you.

It most definitely has made it easier for me. Seeing Max feel better makes me so happy. He’s been playing some lately and grooming himself more. He is so much more affectionate too. SRT was well worth it.

Speaking of flatter cycles, then he dives. He’s still having some diarrhea on and off so I’m reluctant to give him MC or HC. He had diarrhea tonight after he ate at PMPS. Normal BM earlier today. I gave him grain free instinct rabbit which normally doesn’t bother him. If I have to, I will put honey in his food tonight.
