Well, the AMPS of 403 was a surprise this morning. Disco's +11 yesterday 355, not typical either. But his +2 was 296.

I'm not sure if it was from all the HC yesterday. Am I correct in thinking that carb effect of those snack feedings at spot test time is out of their system within a couple of hours though? So this morning I fed him his usual morning meal of raw with Fancy Feast Classics pate with a little bit of leftover HC from yesterdays can. For his two AM tests so far, I have fed him LC Sheba Purrfect Portions Pate.

I may try 'carb loading' him in the AM's with breakfast and his spot check snacks and feeding LC or MC in the PM's for a couple of days and see what happens to his numbers. Oh, the 'trials' and tribulations of trying to figure him out!

Another couple of odd meter readings happened yesterday and today, both with blood samples that weren't the usual fat, red blob of blood, but more of a serum-y looking small sample. Today at his +4.5 I got a 540 and kinda freaked, so retested immediately on another paw and got 247, which is the number I went with. Yesterday at his AM +4, I got a 37 (after getting a 92 1 hour prior) so retested on another paw and got 87, and that's the number I went with.

Today’s photo is of Disco a few years ago in a Halloween costume that always makes me giggle… Hope it does the same for you!

Hope everyone stays well and surfs safely today!

Poor Disco, I think he's blushing in that outfit! :p

HC wet is usually out of the system in a couple of hours. Looks like a bit of a delayed bounce. Neko used to save the worst bounce numbers for 3 cycles after the event that caused the bounce. Not common, but she liked being different.

Small blood samples gave me wonky numbers too. Good thing you retested.
