Good Morning LL. I almost ruined my ~O) coffee pot ~O) today. :lol: We started our day with Stella snug as a bug next to me two hours early (the time change just never stuck) waiting for me to rise. I wanted to get as many checks last night to see what her BGs were doing. As you know, my last work trip with the vet tech coming in threw us off kilter. Stella had a long blue surf last night which I am fine with since it is healing numbers and not a major bounce. Since I only got six hours of sleep (not enough for me) I accidently poured the coffee grounds into the 'water' portion of the coffee pot instead of in the coffee grounds area. Hmmm what a way to begin the morning. :shock:

I can't say everything is in its place because neither cat has given the good old poo. Strange. Maybe I scooped it out late last night?

If you missed it yesterday (thanks to all that stopped into the condo last night), we had a successful meet and greet with a kitty sitter named Jillian. Yippee! I am using her on my next work trip. Everything seems GREAT...but we won't know until I get back I guess...

Have a great weekend, I am going to drink some ~O) and get ready to go to the hairdresser. :cool:

What to so when you need coffee before you make coffee? That's a nice start to the day for Stella. I hope she surfs blue again for you today. Enjoy! Yahoo on Jillian! Hugs and scritches to you.

Thanks ecurie. I am going to have the kitty sitter only shoot 1F U while I am away and then I will get us back on track. I tried to explain 1.25 but it seems difficult to anyone that doesn't do this on a daily basis. Its easy to explain a Fat. I may end up saying 1U...ah...what to tell a new sitter. She is quite confident and texted me a pic of a kitty named China whom she had just administered insulin too. Nice lady. I am just happy Stella found someone she liked!

:lol: I'm sorry, as I shouldn't laugh, but I can understand with the sleeplessness. I'm glad you saved the coffee pot. Sometimes I misplace things in the morning before I've had my several cups of coffee.
That's great about your new kitty sitter, Jillian. She sure sounds like a keeper. Enjoy you day and hairdresser visit. Scritches to Stella, and glad she's getting back on track.

Morning Mary,

Ugh, sorry about the coffee pot but I can so relate. I had one of those days earlier this week, but I made my coffee without a cup to catch the liquid (I have a Keurig, so one cup at a time). I hope the day improves... And Stella, lets slide down for a pretty blue green surf for your momma, ok? Good girl :smile:

:o :o :o :lol: :lol: :lol: on the ~O) ~O) ~O) I do bongo stuff like that before I've had my coffee. Stuff ends up in the fridge that shouldn't and the milk ends up in the cupboard. @-)

There was a commercial years ago for the coffee packs - the ones where you put 1 or two of the packs into the coffee grounds area instead of scooping loose grounds into the filter. The commercial started with the camera focused on someone's hands as they fumble and fumble to get a coffee filter off the top of the filter stack. The voiceover says, "Sometimes you need a cup of coffee before you can make a cup of coffee."

They had to take the commercial off the air because it referenced addition. Seriously? Sheesh.

Anyway, may your day be less brain-fogged!
 
Hello Kathie and Lisa your posts made me laugh. I am so happy to know I am not the only one to malfunction before coffee...hahaha

Stella seems to be headed in the right direction with the dose 1F and a +3/134 I will take it! I wish I wasn't going to get my hair done to see how the next few hours pan out. Cross fingers for Stella!

Another coffee mess-up: I recently poured a full carafe of water into my maker, forgot I had done so, and immediately refilled another carafe-full and proceeded to pour that second one into the already-filled coffee maker. ohmygod_smile Luckily it was only water, but I had a mess to clean up before I was fully awake. I now get it ready the night before so all I have to do in the am is push a button... :roll: :lol: :lol:

Congrats on finding a sitter! That must be a huge relief.

Stella's looking good this morning! :-D

Lovely +3--I would think her numbers will only get prettier throughout the day, Mary :-D The time before the last time I had an appointment at the Beauty Salon and was curious (and a little nervous) about Gobbles' numbers, I left the shop with dye on my hair :lol: and the time before that, I left the shop right after the dye was rinsed out, and skipped the styling and the time before that I canceled the appointment (I am notorious for that). :lol: My sister works at the shop, so none of that phases her (and she's accused me of leaving/canceling because I was worried about my cat...) OMG Josie & Ripley I have to admit, that must have been quite the waterworld! Wow...lots of great coffee stories among us...lol...our kitties don't know how sleep deprived we are. :lol:
And TheBowHuntress...I don't think I would leave a beauty salon with dye on my hair... :lol: :lol: :lol: I wonder what the drivers next to you must have thought... :shock:

Stella's PMPS/239 is definitely higher than I want it to be, but Jillian the new kitty sitter is taking over tomorrow night and I guess I was thinking I should keep the dose down to where I want her to shoot. If I went higher and then lowered it while I was gone...I thought there might be a big bounce.

Stella still has not pooped. I think that may be the root of her high BGs. My other kitty Boo pooped much later than usual, but she did finally poop. I wonder what this is about? Too many Kitty Sitter Meet and Greets? The vet tech feeding them too much last week? Something definitely threw them off last week. I will never know what happened.
