It's a beautiful Sunday morning in Arizona. Our thoughts continue to be with Rachel, Lauren, and Betty. And many healing vines to Rex, Cinco, and all others who need them.
Miss Sassy Britches has been very busy today keeping an eye out of every open window and door just in case those ground squirrels get close enough for.......for what, LBG? You aren't an outdoor kitty so you'll never get your adorable little stripey paws on them    Right now, she and Tobey are sitting at the front door glued to the metal doors and perfectly aligned side by side with tails criss-crossed because there is a ground squirrel on the front porch. Poor babies. I should trap one and bring it inside. NOT     The dynamic duo would probably run and hide.
Yesterday was the ickiest day she's had in a while. First day no blue or green since 3/25. I'm hoping her dose increase which I gave yesterday will kick in here soon.

Today is Tobey's FOURTH birthday
. It seems like I just brought him home and he was a little guy. As I posted on FB, we've been truly blessed with him. Our Maxie (see Gracie's profile) had crossed and Gracie was only 3. They had been best friends since Gracie was a baby even though he was ten years older than she was. Although our hearts were heavy and it wasn't that we felt the urge to get another cat for us, we knew Gracie needed a pal to grow up with since Gus and Teddi Bear were so much older than her and wouldn't wrassle with her like Max did. An exhaustive search of Scottish Fold catteries ensued even though I wanted one from Coupari Folds but she didn't have a litter yet. I put a deposit with her just to have first dibs on a kitten when the litters came. Tobey's litter was born on April 13 and we fell in love with him at first sight but we had to wait and see if his ears folded and, if they did, if he was going to be show quality (which meant we couldn't buy him). You can't imagine our excitement when his ears didn't fold because that meant he was going to be ours as soon as he was 13 weeks old. He has been the perfect match for Gracie and us. Not once has he ever hissed....not when he came in as a baby and was faced with two hissing females (Teddi and Gracie), not at the vet, not when Gracie has played rough with him, never. He doesn't bite or scratch. He is just love love love love and sweetness all the time. He is the happiest little guy ever.
His Aunt Josie did this picture for him today and she said I could share it. Happy Birthday baby boy! You are loved beyond measure!!

Inspecting mom's shoes before her workout. Gots to keep her safe or who will give me birfday love??
Have a great day!
