Mornin' Furry Friends,

I made the mistake of giving Boomer "mixed grill" for his overnight food and boy, it didn't agree with him at all. I think it's a beef mixture and I just can't give beef to him. There was pretty massive puke piles for me this morning  and his number was affected by it.

Surprisingly, he was pretty darn active this morning. Jumping on my bed, freaking out and being frisky. He started doing the mini-blind thing at 1:30 in the morning so I had to get out the spray bottle. So despite the puke I think he feels good - and he does have IBD afterall.

Re: 4/13 Boomer Day 6 GUM Trial, AMBG 113 (big pukus)

Sorry about the pukus, but considering that the AMBG is really good. Happy Day 6!

Re: 4/13 Boomer Day 6 GUM Trial, AMBG 113 (big pukus)

'Morning Traci. Sorry Boomer had the pukies last nite, but it sounds like he feels good after getting all the nasty out of his little tummy.
Hope you have a nice low number day.

awww poor boomer .. I feel so bad when kitties get sick .. I hope it's all out of his system now and will be feeling good all day long! And remember, 113 is NOT a bad number!

Hi Devon-
Thanks for the support. He's extra lucky to even be on this trial because he's got IBD. I'm very lucky to generally have that under control with budesonide. I'm going to return all the mixed grill/beef food. Boomer will be 4 in July and he's had health issues all his life, the poor guy. I've worked harder on him that any other cat I've had. I even learned Reiki so I could help heal him and keep him in decent health despite the fact that he's had chronic pancreatitis, IBD and diabetes. I was told his pancreatitis has resolved, so that's one down. If he makes it through this trial it'll be two down.

Re: 4/13 Boomer Day 6 GUM Trial, AMBG 113 (big pukus)

Aww poor Boomer .. pukus suckus.. 113 is great considering.. and he'll bring it down later to make you proud :)

None of my cats will touch mixed grill.. I don't think it's an allergy thing.. they just think it's disgusting.

Re: 4/13 Boomer Day 6 GUM Trial, AMBG 113 (big pukus)

Other then the pukus Traci, Happy Day 6.
Considering all of Boomer's issues, this is just so amazing.
Keep on chewing. You are getting to the half way point.

Re: 4/13 Boomer Day 6 GUM Trial, AMBG 113 (big pukus)

Yeah! Mixed Grill is disgusting. What is it anyway??? Mystery meat? When I was putting it out I was thinking it may be a bad idea. Yup, it was. He's a poultry guy for the most part - duck, chicken and turkey. I also give him poultry mixed with fish sometimes to mix it up.

You guys, I am SO slow at work today. I can't stand it!!!

Re: 4/13 Boomer Day 6 GUM Trial, AMBG 113 (big pukus)

 traci that is so funny .. I don't work outside the house and today I feel like I'm moving with dead weights on. I have accomplished NOTHING in this house and I have a friend coming over for a few hours tomorrow. I really need to kick it in high gear but I JUST CANT!

Heres to us ~O) ~O) ~O)

Re: 4/13 Boomer Day 6 GUM Trial, AMBG 113 (big pukus)

I don't know what it is in mixed grill.. it looked and smelled like dog food to me.. I wasn't disappointed when they didn't like it.. I don't think by-products are EVIL.. but I like the first ingredient or two, to be actual meat.

Re: 4/13 Boomer Day 6 GUM Trial, AMBG 113 (big pukus)

Boomer has been bringing himself down...so it should be just fine....
Happy Day 6 Boomer!!

Re: 4/13 Boomer Day 6 GUM Trial, AMBG 113 (big pukus)

Tonight's test is going to be a nerve-wracking one for sure. The beep and then the countdown and me standing there going "please God"

Devon - what type of work do you do? I work in marketing in financial services company. My job tends to be really busy or nothing going on. A few of my projects are on hold until people getback to me. Then once they do I'll be under pressure to get something done and not enough time to do it. That type of thing.

Re: 4/13 Boomer Day 6 GUM Trial, AMBG 113 (big pukus)

We'd probably pukus mixed grill too.

Fingers crossed for a great number tonight.

Re: 4/13 Boomer Day 6 GUM Trial, AMBG 113 (big pukus)

GREAT numbers :-D , especially for a pukus event! We've had major food pukus issues too. Just what you need to add a little excitement to these already exciting days!

So glad Boomer is doing well. You've all worked so hard!

Re: 4/13 Boomer Day 6 GUM Trial, AMBG 113 (big pukus)

Very nice pukus number.

I worried about pukus during trial too, Smokey jumped a lot on pukus. I'd tell my husband outside time had to be done by 7 so all grass pukus numbers were settled by test time.

Lets go green tonite Boomer!!

Re: 4/13 Boomer Day 6 GUM Trial, AMBG 113 (big pukus)

I don't think that mixed grill stuff is good; Shadoe tosses that back up too, so I don't get it anymore.
I don't know about boomer but after I pukus, I feel much better so maybe that explains his decent number.

First off, I just want to say thank you for all the incredibly sweet posts tonight! My GOODNESS you guys are fabulous. :YMHUG:

So he made it back to green, whew!

WCR: He's got an incredible appetite tonight. He wolfed down a can of FF chunky turkey pate (loves that) so I gave him a can of Sophisticat chopped chicken hearts (eeeewwww) and he's gobbling that down too. He is my first small cat - he only weighs 9lbs - and he has trouble absorbing nutrients, so when he wants to eat I feed!

WBR: I had nothing for dinner, so I went to McDonalds and got a 2 cheeseburger value meal! I NEVER do that, but I was hungry and new I wouldn't have anything to eat here. I let myself do that a coulple times a year. Of course I feel like a beast now!

Happy Day 6 Boomer!!!!!!!!!!

OMG...how did Day 6 get here already?? Way to go Boomer....and Traci-bean!!

Yay for the appetite and the pretty  PM #!

cheering for you!

betty & hank

I've taken beef off our menu too. Echo is a beef pukus baby too. I've got a shelf of beef foods under the cabinet that I need to deal with. Just can't remember which ones I bought where. I guess it doesn't matter as long as the store I take them too actually carry the flavor/brand.

Boomer is doing so well! What a trooper!

Good Morning, Traci & Boomer!! The Blind thingy just drives me nuts.. So I leave them lifted & have the street lights shine in my eyes all night.. The things we do for the kitties!! It is their world, I just pay bills in it! Happy Day 6, how very exciting for you & Boomer!! Goooooooooo Boomer!!

P.S. Thank you for all the food enticing suggestions... I will try the nutritional yeast flakes.. on the list that is the only thing I have not tried. Baby does love the freeze dried.. for that I am grateful!! (((Thank you))) I could not belive you remembered what she does/does not like (parmesean cheese!)
