I started cleaning and lost track of time on that PMPS. He was close at +12, but stretched it out and I planned to check 30 mins later and lost it. :YMSIGH:

Hi Debbie -

Lucian certainly knows how to give you good numbers on TID. Sometimes things happen and we can't make the shot window. ProZinc is much more forgiving in that way... we know there's no drain on the shed, like on the L insulins. There is definitely an advantage to it! Herb threw me a high BG the other day and I thought "if I only had some PZI!" That's what happens when I get slack!

I like that you're seeing movement - we always tended to be so flat - hanging out at the PINK IHOP! We had so much else going on - insulin resistance was the biggie, and a chronic staph infection in his ear was also playing with G's BGs. Thus the value of the "whole cat" analysis. Keep up the good work! And Lucian - keep rewarding mom with those pretty greens!

Re: 4/12 Lucian PMPS@+13.5/352 +5/170

Hope G is doing better now.

Lucian is rarely flat, on occasion he'll give me a cycle with all 200's but not often. He seems to get good movement, there is just no predicting. On a 2U dose he can be fine with a preshot in low 200's, but drop to 50's when the preshot is high 300's. I don't get it. No two cycles look alike, no matter what his ps. Not all pink starts go too low and not all yellow starts stay in safe numbers, but it's still the same dose. It makes no sense.

Re: 4/12 Lucian PMPS@+13.5/352 +5/170

Libby had an expression we used - usually to refer to Hershey:

You've heard of the ECID right? Well we added...
SCDD - same cat, different day
SCSDDD - same cat, same dose, different day

I think Lucian is the latter! Hershey's pretty close to us, so maybe he's doing those telepathic kitty messages! Yeah, sometimes there IS NO rhyme or reason to their numbers. But they're holding all the cards, and all we can do is roll with the punches. Seems like you're doing really well at it - even if you're just flipping a coin! ;-)

G'nite!

He's just being a cat. Nothing we can do, but ride the wave and hang on tight!
