Good morning Lantus Land!!! Marjorie and Gracie here writing on behalf of LLEF (Lantus Land Emergency Fund).
LLEF is running a fundraiser for Noreen and DC. As you know, DC has been fighting pancreatitis for some time now and has been very ill, vomiting, anorexic, and in pain. Noreen is having to syringe feed him Medi-Cal Recovery which is not inexpensive. He is on cerenia (injectable at the vet), pepcid AC, and ondansetron....all expensive meds and Noreen is running out of them. DC needs ongoing fluid therapy as well as pain medication. If he doesn't start to eat on his own, he will need mirtazapine. There are also supportive supplements which could aid in DC's healing but, again, these things all cost lots of money. Noreen and her DH are both on disability and have spent everything they have on DC's care.
Noreen has done a wonderful job managing DC's diabetes. He is a very long-term diabetic (since 2007). Through Noreen's diligence, she was able to get him down to .1u of Lantus with a beautiful SS....and then he got sick with pancreatitis. Noreen and DC have been longtime members of Lantus Land, posting daily.
We are hoping that everyone in LL who is able to do so will send something to help DC's ongoing costs for medications, supplies, and future vet bills.
All donations are very gratefully accepted. No amount is too small to make a difference in DC's recovery; pancreatitis can be life-threatening but with the ongoing treatments, we are are giving DC the ability to fully recover.
