Happy Caturday! Rachel continues to be in our thoughts and prayers as does Betty and Lauren. Too many of our LL kitties have crossed lately. We are also keeping Rex and Rich in our prayers that Rex's kidney values will come down. Cheering on Jersey and Boots in their OTJ trials!!

LBG was my little snuggle bunny last night along with my Tobey boy. I can't figure out their latest thought processes. If Mike is home....no kitties in bed (although they used to do it all the time). Mike gone....both kitties snuggled up with me. So it's either too hot when he's home or he "hogs" too much of the bed    Or they feel sorry for me because they know how much I miss him! Gracie did tell me that she used to like to sleep on his pillow and keep his head warm but he INSISTS on using a tiny bit of one corner for his head thus preventing her from getting the full use of the pillow. Beans!!

We were happy to see that lovely slide to green last night but then a wicked bounce....really, baby girl? That bounce for 80s? We did take the dose down an extra amount the other day due to two really low numbers within four cycles; just felt the need to drain the depot a bit. Missy G got an increase today to see if we can get back to blues and greens.

The weirdest/scariest thing happened this morning. It's lovely at night and since we have the decorative metal doors on the outside of the sliders, we sleep with the sliders and windows open for the fresh cross breeze. At 5:45 a.m., I was awakened by a cat literally screaming in a high pitched tone. I bolted up thinking something had happened to Gracie or Tobey but she was snuggled in close to me and it had startled her as well. It was still dark and I didn't see Tobey but I think he must have been in bed with me as he usually is. Still, in my haze, I jumped up and ran into the kitchen and turned on the lights (I don't know why I didn't just turn on the lamp next to my side of the bed) and started calling him. He came running out of our bedroom with a sleepy look in his eyes so I knew he was ok. Evidently, the anguished cry came from outside. There are no stray cats up here because of the bobcats and coyotes so I wonder if it was a bunny because when I got up 45 minutes later for T/F/S, the bobcat was sleeping in the backyard and looking like he had a full tummy. :? :?

Back to work for me. I have a 300+ page very technical document I have to have reviewed with detailed comments by Monday morning. I also have to ensure it meets our federal regulations to the "t". At least I can do this at home on the catio with our babies. I just needed a break from it.

Have a great day!

Wow, look at all that sleep last night! :-D :-D Except for the dying bunny thing. :o I had a cousin who was a wildlife biologist studying coyotes and he had a dying bunny noise maker he used for work. Rather fun at parties - it does get your attention.

Come on down Gracie - it was barely the 80's. Ugh on the work document.

Slide baby slide!!!

My fitbit says I slept 5 hours and 15 minutes. It would have been totally uninterrupted except for the scary awakening.

Re: 4/12 Gracie AMPS 290 +3 239 +6 216

Well that's not a good way to wake up in the morning! Yikes. At least Gracie's sliding her way down today. Maybe her goal is sleep deprivation for the bean tonight? I've noticed they usually like to pile on several nights of sleep deprivation in a row. Another component in their master plans, I'm sure.....

OT: Do you like your Fitbit? I've been thinking of getting one for a while but just didn't know how much I would really use it.

Have a great night, Marje!

Hey Marje,
That must certainly have been a scary moment last night. Poor bunny, but the bobcat was just doing what he is supposed to do.
Rusty likes the scratcher aspect of his Brawny Cat lounger much better than the lounger aspect. So please tell my other best boy that he is welcome to the lounger when he visits us. Oh boy--cimmamum muffins!!

Gracie, you can come down now.

Good luck with your big report, Marje

Have a good rest of the weekend,

Ella & Rusty

I hope Gracie keeps sliding down. How scary with the bobcat. I'm glad your kitties were okay.

Slide and......stop. Well...better flat than up :-D If she follows a typical Gracie pattern, she might go back up a little tonight and come down tomorrow.

Thanks for visiting Wendy, Shelly, Ella, Carla! I hope you all had a super day.

Dinner time in Gracieland and then condo hopping!

Hi Marje!
I hope Gracie slides down soon.
That's really scary, to hear a scream like that.
Tobey is such a good boy to show himself promptly when called. cat_pet_icon

Oh my...what a horrible way to wake up! I'm glad your kids were safe from harm and god only knows what animal met its maker with the bobcat. Sorry to see Gracie giving you a flat day in the yellows, but like you said...at least it's not up. Sending sweet dreams of slides into the blues and greens! Sleep well, Marje and hopefully there will be no interruptions for you tonight...well, besides snuggles. :-D

Ugh, I'd hate to wake up that way! I love that Tobey came out when you called. My kitties would just sit where they were and wait for me to find them. It probably was a bunny  . I dated a guy in high school that was into falconry, and he told me that rabbits make a blood curdling scream when the hawk grabs them. I'm guessing they would do the same thing when caught by a bobcat (shudder).

Gracie, it's nice that you are keeping Cinco company on the yellow floor. Perhaps you can accompany him to the blue zone tomorrow? I would appreciate it very much. Or maybe the two of you can rendezvous there yet tonight? :-D

I have a fitbit One, and I love it. I have not tried tracking my sleep yet, but I find it very motivating to be able to look and see how many steps I've taken during the day - makes me push to get that 10,000. I got Mark one in hopes it would motivate him to move around more, but so far, so bad. :YMSIGH:

Hi Deborah and Tricia! Thanks for the late night visits.

  on Mark and the FitBit. Mike told me "don't waste money; I won't use it". I'm glad he was honest because they aren't cheap. I don't know why I track my sleep. It just makes me  over how little I get.

OH My Marje, Talk about jumping out of your skin.
So glad you were all fine, but sorry to hear about the bunny

Come down lil Gracie! Please come down!
You don't need to be up there - so unusual for you!
