Good morning LL. DH here. We hope everyone is healthy and happy this morning.

WCR: 4 P's in place so far today. All the kids seem happy to not be incarcerated. Gracie is visiting all her usual morning spots and is her normal chirpy self. She seems to be getting in a little pattern the last few days, with great numbers all day and evening, then a little bounce up overnight into AMPS, then right back at it in the morning. This dose seems to be working well for her so far, with no real low numbers and not a lot of carbs. Hopefully this overnight spike will flatten out over time and flatten her curve. Maybe she just likes the feeling of the early morning dive :-D

The bad pool men have moved into a quieter phase on the deck work, so hoping for a peaceful day. I had a long 4 day trip with an emergency procedures check ride scheduled at the end (twice a year event) so I'm a little tired this morning. Time to test the baby again. Back shortly.

DH here - Gracie is all bidness today. I'm giving her a little gravy to try to keep her above 50 but not overdo it.

Dh here - Well, maybe she didn't need the gravy at 55. She had come down 20 in a half hour, but was slowing down. We may need to rethink how we handle her on this dose.

Nice on slowing the dive. :thumbup

I know on the carb/bounce thing. We are going to try just using syrup next time to see if that helps, and only LC at nadir and later. Now Tess just has to get back into those kind of numbers. :roll:

and yes, with less insulin on board she may not need as much to slow her down. just don't tell her what you're doing! :lol:

Very nice day for Gracie today guys - sorry to have missed most of it. You may be right on the LC + karo as a way to deal with the slow downs and low stuff. I'd love to try that with Mannie, but not too sure how well it would work - he's on a much higher dose than Gracie or Tess. I was trying to remember - didn't you at one point treat the drops with karo and LC, no gravy stuff? or maybe I'm thinking of someone else... :?

Attie's new vet mentioned to me to use honey...instead of Karo/carbs? It is absorbed in the mouth...therefore faster. You're not waiting 15-20 minutes to see a response.

Just something to think about...

DH here - Well, a higher PMPS than we were hoping for but still BLUE. She started up a little earlier than she has been the last few days, and we are thinking maybe the gravy we are giving to slow her down as she gets into the 60's/70's is more than she needs on this dose. She seems to be slowing down on her own, so if , no, when, she comes down tonight we will try to let her stop on her own unless she is really diving.

Boy there are a bunch of fat-bellied, lazy sugarbabies here tonight! Cabanabean made roadrunner poppers for the crudites and then grilled ground squirrel medallions with cholla chutney accompanied by prickly pear pad salad with catnip vinagrette; AND for dessert he made packrat smoothies ...and of course, he had niptecates galore.
They've stoked up the fireplace again and darned if they didn't turn on the spa and are holding Mannie's feet to keep him from jumping in!! Rusty and Willie managed to come up with a guitar and Moonie is singing old western songs under the moonlight. I'm not sure what they are protecting since it appears Binks has smoked the majority of the catnip and is trying to entice some of the more innocents like Tessie Lou, Gracie, and Gizmo. Gabby and Alex are supervising the young ones with disdain on their beautiful calico faces. Maggie, Enana, Trixie, Curry, Sara, and Tess are discussing their BG values with great fervor. I do believe all of LL kitties are out there: Chaos, Champ, Gus, Attie, Raja and Shadow, Buddy, Tray, Punkin, JD, Simon, Arnie, Gentle, DC, Sya, Blackie, Harley, Cow, Guinness, Billy, Zoe, Smokey, Kazi, Lanky. Rocket, Do Lou and Checkers are chillin' and letting the young ones bring them beverages. (Don't worry, Claudia...I gave Rocket his meds and counted to three each time :-D ). Muffin, Mocha, Daniel, Donny, Lucy are talking about life at the Falls. It's dark (we can't have lights here because it interferes with the night sky) so I can't see who else is there so I hope I didn't miss anyone. Don't worry...they are safe and sound here and Cabanabean will be sure to keep taking out food and beverages.

Tobey is so excited because tomorrow is his FIRST birthday! He's wondering if someone might make him one of Tori's cinnamon cakes????

Gracie is doing great! Baby loves hearing about all the parties she is missing.. Binks & now 2 of yours.... I told her that it is best if she stays here anyway :lol:

Michelle, Christie, Ella, and Julie: everyone is minding their manners so no worries. And Gracie....guess the subject line says it all.

Looks like Gracie has a break in mind. I asked Mike why it is that when he's home, she's high; when I'm alone, she's low. :lol: :lol: :lol: I think he feeds her caramels while I'm at work :lol: So for me ...ni ni.

I'm really late here. Hope by now Gracie has come down some, and I'm glad you're getting some sleepus. I'm heading there myself shortly. Big day tomorrow--Tessie Lou's ultrasound at 1pm. nailbite_smile

Well, I'm glad Tessie Lou watched her manners. She is always a perfect angel...unless fudz are involved, and with the way Rusty and Mannie cook, I can't blame her for forgetting her ladylike ways. Wow, what a menu yesterday at the Catnip Patch Party!

Gracie, birthday party tomorrow! Can't wait! I neber had one of dos cinammon cakes, but I'll be ready for a treat after my vettie visit. I didn't know Tobey was just a baby! See you then! ...Tessie Lou
 
Bummer on the bounce, but sleep is good. I think a lot of us are going to reconsider the carbs we feed to bring them up. Sleep well!
