Re: 4/12 Do Lou Dental Day

Sending lots of dental vines. I think the beans should get some of the anesthesia as well ... or at least a zanax or something ahead of time! Poor Do Lou knowing that something is up. I hope it all goes well. Calming and dental vines your way!

This morning with no shot 281 and in the door 280 so not bad at all well WHEW!!! what a super long morning Bean is wore out I could not sleep last night and then had to get up at 4 anyway he did well Vet said the tooth was a bear to get out his words had to use the dental   saw we have been home only about 1 hour now. He has eaten some baby food so far and he drank from his tub facet. He is on bupe for pain and orbax liquid meds that start tomorrow I have never used this med before with any of my cats. He is for the most part resting he is a wee bit congested sounding so will keep a eye on that. He goes back in 2 weeks to have the area that has a sutured flap checked they are dis-solvable sutures so they do not have to be removed. The plan is to stay with him most of afternoon until I have to get my LBS done here and then DH and I go to a banquet tonight honoring our oldest son son who is Teacher of the year for our county  and he is in running for Teacher of state of Ky we are very proud of this and would love to see him win state but proud either way of course he is being inducted into the schools hall of fame tonight along with some other awards to other people not sure what that is

Yay, Do Lou! I'll bet you were a champ at your dental! :RAHCAT :RAHCAT

And BIG congrats to your son! We need more good teachers like him! :thumbup

Hi Lisa, so glad all went well with Do Lou's dental and only the one tooth that was a bear! Mags took Orbax in pill form and did very well on it if the liquid doesn't pan out!
Congratulations to your DH, what an honor. You both must be so proud!
Sending healing vines and prayers for Do Lou's recovery.

I'm so glad all went well with the dental :YMHUG:
Since you're going to be away (and want to enjoy yourself), you may want to give a lowered dose (BCS) tonight. It all depends upon his numbers and how he's eating. But the anesthesia can make the BGs fall sometimes, and just to warn you to be careful. Sending good healing and appetite vines to Do Lou, and Congratulations! to your son :)

So glad you're home safe and sound! Having just gone thru it two days ago I know how you feel! Congrats to you and your son - so much to be proud of!

Hi Lisa,
We are relieved that the tooth was successfully extracted and hope that the a/bs and the pain meds will work and that Do Lou will begin to feel much better now that the nasty tooth is out. I think that Ann (Tess) used the liquid form of Orbax and liked it, but she could have used it in pill form. In any event, it apparently does not cause stomach upset the way that clavamox does.

Such great news on your son. Congrats to him! (and you and DH, of course!)

Hugs, scritches,

Ella & Rusty

Big sigh of relief that the dental is over. The dental saw sounds  . Good thing that is now out. I hope Do Lou recovers quickly from the surgery. I'm glad he was eating soon after.

Congrats on your son. What an honor!
