Cleo surfed some lovely numbers last night. Today she has 5 P's in place. Appy is okay, ate enough to keep the bean happy

I saw your question about the ABs on Zener's condo and replied there, but just in case you don't get back to visit, here it is:

We've been through bouts with clamavox and clindamycin for various things, usually dentals. Zener's GI system is pretty delicately balanced and ABs usually give him diarrhea and stop his eating. Before our last dental, we talked with our vet about using the dreaded Covenia because of the ability to inject it and not have it directly absorbed through his GI system, and we were desperate to avoid the pudding poo - no eating complication. (a few years ago, and a different vet, he had some sort of injection -preFD - and was given Covenia without complications). She told us we could give the clindamycin by injection as well, and it was a much better AB for GI bugs. She is not a covenia fan. So, Team Zener, as our vet calls us, made the decision to use the injectable clindamycin. We can usually get at least five days before his GI system gets out of whack.
