Hi Everyone,
Yesterday's Condo
I held my breath this morning as I tested Basil and he rewarded me with a 105!
WCR: After he ate, I opened his door to the outside world and let him out. Then, I watched him for about 20 minutes as he sniffed every spot near one of the gardens, peed, dug around and found a bug, rolled on his head on the driveway, took a bath in a patch of weak sun, watched with disdain as a neighbor walked his dog, watched a group of about 5 deer (This put him on high alert) and then disappeared into a rosebush to watch the birds. (We live on about 3 acres, half heavily wooded, so there are lots of safe spots for a kitty to nature watch). This is only the second day we let him out again after his dental. We broke down after he did a lot of begging and pacing yesterday afternoon. He is only allowed out from way after sunrise until way before sunset, BTW. It seems to be making him much happier. His appetite is also looking back to normal and he is finishing his meals. That's a relief. He doesn't seem to mind the probiotic drops at all. He's back in now but I am sure he will be back out on "the cat deck" this afternoon for the good sun.
We'll keep monitoring him today. If he looks like he's back up in any way, I'll call the vet for sure. I really hope not. My sense of this is he needs to get back to normal following the whole vet-dental-antibiotics-houseguests-closed in-nausea-vomiting events of the last 10 days. I've explained this to him and he said, reluctantly, he will cooperate. We'll see...
Thanks, everyone, for all the advice. I feel kind of bad that I keep showing up here after we;ve moved to the Falls. We are going to try to behave and stop sub-letting condos here.
PS, I am feeling better but not yet 100%. What a weekend!
Have a great day, everyone.
