Fairly happy appy, snuggly, spunky, feisty, and anti-jinxes. Honestly, not terribly fond of where her appy is hanging...it's a bit too mid-range-ish for too long now, so I am supplementing with some assist-feeding. Not sure if it's because she needs more metronidazole (appy really popped up when she was on it) or if she's feeling the loss and stress from the last couple weeks, or if it's because I was away for most of the weekend (it wouldn't be the first time her appy has dropped off from me being at a long bead show...neither she nor DH is used to him doing the feedings and I don't think she eats as well for him).
Today was her last dose of Zeniquin, and her first shot of Adequan. Her back end really has gotten quite arthritic and I probably should have started something sooner, but she can be so sensitive to meds that I've been nervous/hesitant about adding another thing to her routine. But, Adequan helped our GA civvie Mario tremendously so hopefully it will help her, too. I know it takes a few shots before it kicks in...time to dust off the old patience pants!
Zen's appointment was a mixed bag. Overall he looks good, but his weight is down a bit. She thinks he's had a bit of diarrhea that has his tush irritated, hence the scooting. He's on metronidazole now (great fun...can't pill him so he gets the nasty, nasty liquid), and we're waiting for BW to come back. He and his littermates (Noah and Petey) have always had digestive ups and downs...this could just be a flare from the recent stresses, too. Everything about him does seem fine - appy, activity, social, fur, etc.
This cold still has me very walloped...I was struggling enough without this added bonus. I rarely get sick - it's been years - so I think this is even more miserable than most. It's all in my nose, with coughing that started yesterday.
Prayers to all....
