Higher than I would like, but hopefully we are through the dangerous lows. Gave 1/2 unit tonight. I also upped his food. He had two cans of FF this morning. This evening I picked up some low carb friskies in the 5.5 can size. I gave him 1/2 can with his shot and will give him the other half before bedtime. That would be around 10.5 oz today. He's 13 pounds so this is probably a better amount.

I don't have the syringes with the 1/2 units yet, I'm just guessing right now. Wal-mart was out, but he ordered them for me yesterday and should be here by the end of the week. $12.88 for their Relion brand. That's half the price of the BD syringes I have now!

Thanks for the tips on the feeders, I think I like the looks of the C20 feeder.

Wow, you are doing incredible, Sonya. I am also hoping you get some more level numbers with the lesser dose, and once you get the syringes with the 1/2 unit markings, you will have less guess work!

To start, until he gets settled in his dose, he will likely need to eat a bit more food, but once regulated, he will eat less. I liked to leave food available because cats self-regulate and if they feel the need to eat to bring up their numbers, they go looking for food.
