gonna make a run to home depot to pick up some more gravel stuff.....we're working on pulling weeds, laying weed preventing cloth stuff, and then putting down some pretty gravel type stuff in all the planters around here around the roses, cacti, and trees. getting too old for all the vegetation we have around here so trying to reduce some of the workload while we still can. don't want an overrun witch like house when i'm 80.....ya know, with me and all these cats some might think.............LOL!!!

Mousie tried to kill me!!!

we decided we'd grab some lunch while we were out but we came home from home depot and a couple other places first because we were so close to the house so i could get a test done on Mousie. OMG!! i had just gotten to the point of throwing things aside recklessly looking for her instead of calmly walking around calling her name and looking when lo and behold the man found her!!

ay yai yai!

we looked everywhere, including inside cabinets in case she got shut in there and we're talking i'm doing this for 5-10 minutes and there's no sign of her nor are the other cats telling me her location.

finally the thought entered my mind that she could be too low so my heart started racing and i started shoving furniture across the floor, tossing blankets, and crap and i hear HERE SHE IS!

the new couch thingy we got a few weeks ago is actually a loveseat that consists of 2 recliners and fiance opened up one of the recliner things and the turd popped out of the other one. so either she was ignoring us or she couldn't get herself back out???

then of course she was freaked enough that she made me do 6 laps around the house after her until she finally stood still so i could grab her.

so 59 was ok so we headed back out to grab some lunch. got home just now and she was sitting in the front window looking at us when we walked up. fiance said "hell yeah, after having some crazy woman after her the last time you think she's gonna hide again and go thru that?" ROFLMAO!!!

She couldn't have been too upset about the whole ordeal if she tested 59! Bet she just thinks its hilarious.. does she have an evil and twisted sense of humour like Nova does?

not bad. an entire day of green so far, and even better considering we made a run to the post office and home depot again and left Jr & Stinky loose in the house with what I call the adults (Mousie, Mommie Kitty, and Fuzzie).

(we just started doing this in the last few months as Stinky is our "special" boy and he could hurt himself if given the chance. personally i'm ready to give it a try all night long but fiance doesn't think that's a good idea just yet. LOL!!)

yep, this is early in the cycle. You can try LC or MC first if you want, I probably would, but if so then test again in 20-30 minutes to be sure it worked.

ahhhhhhhhhhh, silly kitty. i went downstairs to get out some more food for her and the little turd is self-feeding, finishing off what was left in her bowl from earlier. guess she knew :)

actually, no toys for her tonight. i've discovered over the years that playing lowers her BG so, nope, none of that tonight. :)

i never kept a spreadsheet before lantus. just a 3 ring binder with charts. maybe someday i'll put them into a spreadsheet as i do kinda like the color thing.

Nice day for Mousie. I had to laugh about your frantic search for her earlier. Willow has done that to me a number of times and last night he did it to my mom. She search all his normal spots, called for him and then starting getting in a panic and searching cabinets, closets, boxes, etc. After 10 or 15 minutes, she finally found him... he was happily snuggled up in a pile of laundry on the couch, underneath a clean comforter. :)
 
think i'll go to bed for a bit? maybe i'll set my alarm for a couple hours and get up to check the turd? i get up in 5 hours anyway sooooooooooooooooo...................
