Yesterday was... another red and pink day in MannieLand. The good thing about it was that it was consistent, and fairly steady. Of course the numbers are way to high. Sure would like to see those yellows again Mannie. We added cerenia to his med arsenal yesterday. I'm not all that certain the the cerenia or the mirtazapine is really helping him. We will see how it goes over the next few days, and discuss this at this next vetty appt. The appy continues to be a huge issue, we are down now to spoon feeding, and it just takes along time to get food in him. well, he seems ok with it all, so we keep on truckin'. I hope for a good day today, blues would be so cool! but... I will take a yellow day any day. Mannie - here's to you, some very strong feel better, be blue vines. Lubs ya big guy! cat_pet_icon

All is well in MannieLand. :-D :-D I sat with Mannie after one of his test last night and he started to purr. It suddenly occurred to me that I really couldn't remember the last time he purred. I think I will cherish that moment for a long time to come. It told me that he really is OK with the way things are. He's content, things are OK in MannieLand. ;-) DGS was back yesterday, and of course he made sure he said hi to Man-NIE !(). He then came to me and said: "Man-NIE eat food? all gone?" I told him he did the best he could. Then he asked: "Man-NIE takes pill, munch pills, OK?" I told him yes, Mannie takes many pills and he took them all very well. He then smiled and went back to give Mannie a pet. I love that kid: what a kind gentle soul he is. Appy was so so borderline crappy this morning, as it is every morning now. LB is normal, Ketones tests have been negative. Test was good this morning, as was the shoot. :cool: Normalcy in MannieLand. :-D yes, it is normal. Mannie said so.

Have a great day everyone! I am back on DGS duty for the rest of the week. Today will be a outdoor day for Nicholas. WOO HOO! Paws crossed on the weather - we o hope for some sun. The rivers await us! I hope to visit condos when time permits, it is so tough to do while he is here. I will miss you guys! Think blue, think green kitties!

Morning Michelle ~O) sending many appy and feel better vines for Mannie today. So sorry his appy is not improving. Usually the Mirtz worked right away when I used it for my kitties. I've never used the Cerenia, but am sure so many others here will have some feedback. Mannie, we really want you to eat. So he takes it off the spoon okay. Such a sweet soul DGS is with Mannie. He senses Mannie is not well. I love that Mannie purred for you. He's letting you know it's alright and he'll do the best he can.
Mannie thise Espressos today were extra good and the coffee, too, thank you.

Awwww on the purrs. They are sooo special, especially when they give you purrs at unexpected times. Bless his furry little heart! One day at a time, and with a wonderful yellow in those reds and pinks, we celebrate the small victories, right? (((hugs)))

Morning Ann ~O) ~O) ~O) THX for the vines - so so needed. Mannie seems to enjoy them, they pick him right up. :-D Yupp, just not too sure who well the mirtz and/or cerenia are working. hard to tell with him. We hope today will be a better appy day as it moves along. yes on the spoon, that seems to work, just very slow going. Me too on the purr - it is as you said: his way of telling me it's ok. I so agree on DGS - he senses it, and is very gentle with Mannie.

Hey Mannie,

Didn't you tell your bean why you don't want to eat your fuds anymore. I'm not surprised you don't want those fuds. Not after you stuff yourself with hotdogs and cimmamum cookies and nipjitos and niptinis, not to mention whatever we is grilling or those three pizzas you ate all by yourself. Your belly is full and no room for boring canned fuds. Not with all the yummy stuff we have while out and about. Actually, I'm surprised you didn't gack and barf all over your bean! :shock:

Wait till you see what I've got in my wagon for today's outing! mmmmm, mmmmm good stuff.

But I don't want no more of yesterday's fuds. I think something was wrong with it - my butt exploded all over the house and it was messy and stinky gross! My bean had to follow me and clean up the messes! :lol: And she made that funny face - you know the one that is stinky face. I know she made it, cause I heard it when she talked to me! :YMSIGH:

I think the fuds were bad. No more bad fuds only good from now on. OK.

Let's plan the day and excited to go sailing - only if you promise to gack over the railing and downwind this time! KAY..... nailbite_smile

Packing my wagon with lots of yummy things and be ready in a few.

Oooh and don't tell my bean, but I used her credit card and ordered a frozen fruit ice cream maker last night - we can make all kinds of smoothies and ice cream just by putting into the machine! Think about all the yummy stuff we can make and I bet we can sell it too- Frozen Niptinis and nipjitos, sushi surprise, nanner peanut butter salmon ice cream.....ooooh the choices are endless!

Ah Michelle, hate to see that his appy isn't right. But given all that is going on, glad to see he is trying at least. You just need to take it day by day, minute by minute with him. Love that he gave you luvins and purrs - I got some from Maui last night too, in between her really loud in my ear meow. Wow that girl sure has a voice on her.

Mannie, thanks for my orange zest tea this morning. It is so yummy good and goes so nicely with the orange zest scones you made. Be sure to come back this afternoon for my orange frappe delivery!

Just reading about Mannie's purring last night made my day. And seeing those nice yellow numbers this morning: very fine start to the day, Mannie. The Ethopian espresso beans make wonderful coffee and I sure needed it this morning after my strenuous day yesterday. Thank you, Mannie Barista!

Hi Michelle, I hope that Mannie's appetite will perk up with the cerenia. Is it one of those things that needs a few days to start to work? Anyway, we are sending good appy vines. The swim pics are wonderful. What fun Nicholas is having!

Yay for Mannie purrs! :-D :-D We give cyproheptadine to Zener for appetite stimulant, maybe just 1/32 of a pill is enough, on an as needed basis. We also give him ondansetron for nausea as well as Cerenia and Zantac. Sending mega appy vines to Mannie and hugs to you, Michelle.

It's so nice to see yellow from Mannie today :smile: I sure hope he eats a little more for you today. I know how hard it is to get a cat to eat, if he doesn't want to.
Does he eat better, when his bg is lower? I was wondering if he feels better with the lower number.
How wonderful for you, to hear him purr for you. I looooove the sound of a purring kitty. :-D

I hope the Cerenia kicks in for him. I always found that it took two or three doses to start really working. I am glad to hear about the purr!

Thanks everyone for visiting Mannie while DGS and I were out on a river visit. I will try and get back to everyone when after I taker Nicholas home. Nicholas and I visited a waterfall and creek in Bellingham today. They were gorgeous! We had such a great time. There is also a small fish hatchery there, so Nicholas was able to see lots of rainbow trouts, of all ages. It was really a nice day for him... I will post the photo like in Mannie's condo tomorrow.

MochaMannie, Somebody drank my first mocha! :cry: Thanks for bringing that refill. BIG HUGS to you!!! i just finished my orange creme frappe'. That was soooo yummy. It tasted like an orange dreamscicle.

What a fun day!!!! Those zip lines are the best. Right through the front door and to the kitchen to grab a cookie. You gots one cool set up there dude. I'm sooooo full after grillin that salmon. I loved the Mannie purr - I hope it doesn't go so long in between the next one. cat_pet_icon Mannie and Neko were wandering on the same floor for most of today, but he went left and she went right at mid-day. Next time we'll have to get them to leave trail markers. Sorry about that Hi - we know he will come down and hope he does so soon, but not too fast.

I'm glad you got out today. It was a beautiful day here, though a bit cooler in the wind. Do you ever go to Lake Stevens? DH is rowing there this weekend. I don't remember what it looks like.

I think Mannie is going to have to make a bulk order of those orange creme frappes - I've got a craving for one too.

HI EVERYONE! So many visits! Thank you Wendy, Hillary, Rhiannon, Mary, Carla, Linda, Lisa, Ann, Karen, Barb, Liz, Anne, and Ella fr spending time in Mannie's condo. Mannie and I truly thanks you. I am sorry I can't answer each of you, I'm beat from today with DGS, and still have so many things to get done tonight. So So Sorry! It is a bummer to see him on the alpha floor tonight, but I think that the AM cycle was a good one today, flat consistent and mostly yellow. I see that as improvement. Perhaps some of it is due to the lack of fuds last night - he was maybe 1/3 short of his normal allotment. Well, no matter I guess - it still is great to see some yellow on his SS. He ate a little better tonight, but as always it only goes so far, then he stops. It is difficult to get in what I know he would normally eat, and should eat. We had a few muscle strength issues today, but most up and abouts were OK. Paws crossed that all these meds are helping. Thank you everyone for thinking of us.
Hillary - yes, he is! he does try to do what he can. yupp: we take it Minuit by minute, day by day.

I would like to think that this was Mannie's way of saying HI to Nicholas and HI to you. Because, like you said, he seems fine...right?! Maybe while you were out w/ Nicholas, he rigged the meter. That must be it! I love the Mannie purrs and want to hear about more of them. hugs and scritches!
