Hi All.
Checkers is still feeling wonderful. The change in him brought me to tears last night, as he let me brush him all over, including his back end. He never once, tried to slap, or bite my hand.
Now someone may shrug and say, "yeah, so?", but for me it's a great big deal. Checkers HATES to be touched below the waist.
I'm going to end this WCR on a good note, and pretend the rest of the night didn't happen.( I caused a black number for him.)

He ate well, drank normally, ate some more...all the usual stuff.

Glad to see Checkers is doing well and feeling good! He beat Rupert to the blue floor this morning, hopefully they'll get together later. Sorry about the mischief yesterday!!!! Have a good day, looks like you'll get a nice blue surf and maybe some greens soon!!!

Hi guys .. awww what a great condo for checks!! So happy the acupuncture worked wonders on him .. when is his next appt? Hopefully close enough to this one, that he doesn't lapse back into pain? Don't worry about that black number, look how nicely checks turned it around this morning! Hope you are feeling good barb .. have a great day!

What great news Barb! Has Checkers been to a few acupuncture appointments or just the one?

Very nice numbers this morning for Checks, have a great day and enjoy your "new" boy :-D

Twice this week, Himself peed on a basket of clean laundry.
While at the vet tomorrow, he's being tested for UTI.
That way I'll know whether to feel sorry for him or be mad at him. Grrrrr!

I don't know when he does it, but I'm positive it's him, because I've seen him do it in the screen porch, in the morning.

That's understandable, 'cause he smells all the critters that come out at night.....some come on the porch, and get their scent on the screen. I've seen Checks sniff the screen and turn around and spray it. GROSS! The smell can never be eradicated.
There was a beautiful red fox in the yard, this morning. It ran when he saw me watching him.
I can't keep wild critters, and neighbors', and stray cats away, but I need to first make sure there's no bladder problem.

I don't understand why he would suddenly choose a basket of clothes to vent his frustrations on.

Great to hear about Checkers. I was trying to keep up with the acupuncture treatment, and it looks like it helped. Did Checks stay still for it? Amazing with the acupuncture for both pets and people.

Ann, Checkers, who isn't fond of being handled, normally growls softly, under his breath, the entire time the vet is touching him.
When he was getting the needles, he didn't care at all. He did keep trying to get to his carrier, which was on the floor,
so we put the carrier on the table, took off the top, and let him lie in it, while the needles did their thing....15 minutes.
He just relaxed and zoned out.
I can't wait to do it again. In about a week. Oops, i need to make appt.
I loooooove the change in him.

Yaaaay , yellow night, instead of pink.

Thumbs up :thumbup on the acupuncture! Not on the peeing in the laundry basket, however! I hope he doesn't decide that it's his new litterbox! Are you sure it's Checkers?

Really nice cycle today and hopefully the evening cycle will be good too. Have a lovely evening (rain free!! ), and thanks for stopping by Rusty's condo.

Wonderful news about the acupuncture! I hope you figure out the laundry basket situation soon...there are so many possible messages they're trying to send us by doing such things. It certainly is an effective method for getting our attention, that's for sure!!

Wow, that's wonderful, Barb! Thanks for the report on the acupuncture. It sounds like it relaxed him, as long as he was in his safe space, the carrier, sweet!
 
I'm so not looking forward to tomorrow morning. His vet appt is for an hour past shot time, so I won't give shot.
He'll be starved in the morning...no food or water after midnite. I simply cannot take away every drop of water from him.

How in the world can I stall him for an hour, before we leave the house? He gets suspicious if I put on shoes in the house.
If I do anything at all different, he hides....usually under my bed. *great big sigh* :YMSIGH: :YMSIGH:

I wish you luck with the appt tomorrow. I hope that goes well. sorry for the laundry ting....
