I don't know what happened last night, but I really didn't like the am #. Then Blackie vomited all of his breffis. Fixed more food and he ate again and went btb. He woke up for the +3 and more food and btb in the closet behind the vaccuum. This is the first day at 4.25. I hope he's feeling better.

WCR: Other than the vomiting, Blackie seems fine. He went outside last night and got some lap time and ate well.

some kitties throw an unexplained high number before a break. maybe that's what blackie is doing.
looks like he's on his way down... the bounce from the green may be clearing. :-D

Oooh, I hope Jill is right! :-D

I hope Blackie is feeling better and quits hiding behind the vacuum. I think he just likes to come up with new places to go hang out to try to make you worry. He's like a teenager trying to rebel, except he chooses closets and vacuums rather than parties and bad boys.

He ate a little at +6 and is now outside going to his favorite "litter box". It is weird that he's sleeping by the vaccuum. You know how kitties hate vaccuums. Either he's trying to tell me to vaccuum, or to not vaccuum today. I think I'll take the latter. :mrgreen:

I totally screwed up tonight. I gave 4.75 instead of 4.25! So after I realized that, I marked several of the syringes with green marker on the 4.25 spot. And I will get many spot checks tonight. Sorry, Blackie.

ok, see you for some extra tests tonight. You have lots of strips and HC food? Should be fine but it's best to be prepared.

I am still very mad at myself. Yes, I have HC treats and food, and lots of strips. Should I test more in the early hours or more after +6? Or just test every couple of hours until I see where Blackie is going? I guess I just answered my own question. Thanks Libby.

we'll let the numbers tell us when to test. +2 should be ok to start, hopefully she won't drop much before that. Then we'll wait for pretty convincing upward turn before bedtime. It's not all that far over dose so I think it will be fine, but you can't be too careful.

Get a +2 so you have an idea of where things are going. We can decide from there. As long as you're prepared and can stay up later than usual, it should be fine.
 
Well, at least you will get a chance to see how 4.75 works for him...(trying to be positive)

Hoping you don't have too long of a night. I'll check back in a bit and see how he's doing. I bet it's been awhile since you've had to do this, huh? ;-)
