I sure like starting a day off with yellow better than pink. Last night at ps he bounced from the blue he had during the day --- maybe the bounce is clearing out faster, since it wasn't a bounce from greens. He's out in the yard stalking birds on this sunny spring morning and every once in a while I hear him talking to them.

It's good to see Angel starting the day in blue rather than icky pink. Do you really think that was a bounce or maybe just a steeper curve? Angel has always shown such creativity in his numbers and just refuses to be predictable.

And what could be more fun than stalking birds in the front yard on a sunny spring day? Does he catch any of the birds? I love the sounds cats make when watching or stalking birds.

Thanks for stopping by Ruth. Yes, Angel has always been "creative" in his nos. - what a nice way for you to put it. He used to be a bird and rodent killing machine in his younger days. But now at 15 his arthritis and lingering neuropathy keep him from moving fast enough. It's a sign he's feeling good when he tries anyway.

This was the second cycle of giving him a flank shot. Wondering if that's part of the change (besides the General's assistance!). I can notice a distinct difference in the feel of the needle going in. It's as smooth as silk, whereas without my even noticing it the scruff - actually off center over the shoulder - has developed a tougher feel. Could this be so? Does shooting the same area for over a year toughen up the skin and possibly lead to poorer absorption? He stopped on his downward trend and started heading upward right at the one year point of shooting him. I always though flanks would be hard because he could reach around and bite at me but so far so good. Any one else noticed absoption changes in the different injection shots?

nice numbers!! Last night we debated on whether to switch up mochas shot spot. We almost always give a shot on her right side, towards the back by her hip. We cant seem to get a "tent' on her left side and when mocha was first diagnosed the vet said not to shoot in the scruff. But now mochas numbers are at a standstill and we are desperate to get them back down.

Had a really nice cycle today and is bouncing tonight. Did a flank shot again; I switched sides and he flinched this time.

Re: 4/11 Angel's pmps~338

A nice day today, for Angel
I shot in the scruff for a long time and thought the skin was getting thicker, so have changed to flank shots. I thought J.D. would mind, but he doesn't at all. I do occasionally shoot in the scruff, now, when J.D. has given me a green morning PS and I have to shoot and go to work. The scruff is supposed to have a slower absorption rate.
