morning. awaking from my coma sleep in....
shot time is 5:40 am so I get back in bed, today i zonked.
Shadow poo'd on kitchen rug in the night.... still pudding, and blood on top.
I guess the progress might be it's becoming once a day .
And right before her shot, she ran to the bedroom and was trying to throw up, her whole body convulsing
( no wonder she poo'd at the same time the other day)
She cried with a weird yodel, I hate that she's in such pain.

She didn't eat her foods in the night except she did have a nibble of young again. She had 4 options. She usually won't eat dry at all, she prefers wet but I think she's just about associating all of them with yakking now.
She also didn't eat her morning foods except for her bite of ham rewarding her for taking her shot.
I dug and found I did have some baby food turkey and offered her that with a spoon and she ate some.

I am torn about what to feed. I'm worried that she's not improving. Thinking about letting her have her shrimp back since it doesn't seem to be what is causing this.
But then I don't know if once your intestines are inflammed, does any of it help?
The kangaroo didn't seem to make a difference and she ate it for 5 days.

Yesterday she and I sat on my recliner, sitting on heated throw, and enjoyed some quality time
while I imagined her being gone. It's a very heavy cloud on me right now, how long I should
continue trying?
I just remind myself one day at a time.

recap of yesterday:
i'm not feeling so welcome over at the yahoo lymphoma group

someone was mentioning their cat was ravishing.
and I asked if he had been tested for FD... and that steroids can often lead to diabetes
and got flamed for that statement and they complained that i mentioned catinfo.org

called it "that website"as in someone mentioned that website.....

Rhiannon, I'm sorry things are so hard. I hope Shadow feels better and shows some improvement soon. I can't remember if it's been mentioned, but have you tried Slippery Elm Bark? I think when you make the syrup out of it, it is supposed to help coat the intestines and help things feel better. I beleive there is a recipe on Tanya's CKD site.

Sending hugs and prayers. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Hi Rhiannon...sending lots more vines your way. Sorry you didn't have a good experience on the lymphoma group. I haven't had any bad experiences, but I have found that posting specific questions directed at Dr. Jory (in the subject line) is the best way to get help.

This is totally just my opinion, and I realize it's all trial and error with food at this point - if the lack of shrimp isn't making things better, and if it's something she likes to eat, I'd give it to her so at least she is eating more. If she seems to react badly to it, you can always eliminate it again.

It's nice that you can enjoy quality time together. I know she feels how much you love her.

I post on the lymphoma group to get info from Jory and only for that reason. Don't pay any attention to anyone else unless you feel it makes sense. Just my opinion of course.

I know I typed something earlier. I use the lymphoma site to get help from Dr. Jory only.

gonna go get some slippery elm bark from whole foods....
and I 'm thinking of going back to trying raw again.... just have to add those shrimps to entice.

too many transitions happened.... with med changes....
I feel like I don't have a lot to lose ....

Sending along appy and feel better vines for Shadow. It can take a while for changes to settle out, especially when a lot happen at once. Hopefully you'll find a food that she likes and agrees with her...
