Good Morning, Everyone,

Rusty is back in blue after an almost-all-green day yesterday. Probably a simple bounce, since he ate all of his nighttime food at bedtime last night! He was eager for breakfast this morning (both sittings eaten enthusiastically) and we had a good test and a good shot. Now that it is light in the morning, he is up and about much earlier. This morning I was woken by him jumping up on the bed and licking my face, squirming, cuddling, and giving head butts. He is looking with interest at the downstairs front porch and I think he may enjoy going out on it again later. I'm sure he wants to go outdoors again, too, since he is spending a lot of time this morning looking out the window from his perch. Yesterday a small black kitty wearing a collar was sniffing around our yard. Edward called me out to look at him. And when we came inside Rusty was right at the door even though he hadn't been anywhere near the door. He knew instinctively that he had a visitor! I hope this is not going to be a problem. Stu often had visitors (but they never came around when he was outside; they would look in from the other side of the back door and Stu would hiss at them!). I don't remember seeing this particular cat last summer.
Off now to see if Rusty wants a game of Cat's Cradle or Cube with either Red Ears or Big Bug. Then out for a walk before the rain arrives. Tomorrow it's supposed to be 80!!! here, with rain- and thunderstorms and high winds. I guess that will melt the snow!

Morning all!

Looking good there Rusty, but I bet you can find those greens again, right? You've got to show Mannie how it's done.

Wow on those temps, and the weather. And good luck with all that melting snow. I do so hope that it does not end up in your cellar. Never a fun thing.... Have things thawed enough that you can begin to think of a few paddles? I can only imagine how nice spring must be on the lakes there. Gorgeous comes to mind.

I love your morning wake-up call. What I would give to have the one kitty here who has assumed the kitty alarm clock role learn how to do a proper wake-up. She bellows and bellow and bellows... omg! one gets up just to shut her up.

Enjoy that walk! I hope to get out a for one too, after a little condo visiting... with the grand-baby here now I just don't have the opportunity to do much visiting - it's all I can do to keep Mannie's up to date.

RUSTY! DUDE! let's go!! Off to the desert? SUN! hey - I hear too that Zoe has a pool... and she is sleeping on the chaise, by the pool. dude!: that has possibilities! ~~ Mannie

Re: 4/10 Rusty AMPS 121

It sounds like Rusty has everything well in hand there. I think he has been conferring w/ Mannie on proper yard patrol techniques and can't wait to put them into practice.

Sounds like you sprig has finally arrived. When is the ice usually out on your lakes?

Re: 4/10 Rusty AMPS 121

Wow... 80 degrees and there's still snow on the ground??? Even the midwest isn't that crazy! LOL
Still a nice start for Rusty today... pretty much the healing range, and such promise on where to go from there!!

Hope you have a great day and that the upcoming storms aren't too bad!!

Hey, Rusty!! U hedded to de desert too?? Gonna pick ur brainz for grillin' ideas!! See ya dere!! --Willie

Hi again,
We took Rusty outdoors again this morning and he was thrilled. He explored to the edge of the receding snow and checked out the space under the birdfeeders. He really is having his world expanded now that the weather is warmer. He was out on the front downstairs porch, too, and now is sitting on my upstairs cure porch (the one off my study), watching . . . watching. I snapped a picture just as he snapped his head around to look out the other window (see attached).

Our canoe rack is on the car and maybe we'll get out on the water this week. I've seen cars with canoes and kayaks on top in the last few days. Most of the lakes are still ice, but the rivers and some lake channels are free. Ann, ice-out hasn't happened yet on the bay in Lake Flower (in Saranac Lake) where the chair with the ice-out clock on it is waiting to fall into the water (people bet on the day and time this will happen: there's a village pool with the winner getting half the money and the village getting the other half).

Ella & Rusty (who invites anyone who wants to to come sit on his porches with him)

That picture of Rusty is adorable, and Maggie want to come sit on the porch and take a walk in the snow! Beautiful scenery in the picture, too, of the outside yard. I hope Rusty has a nice green surf this afternoon.

I think I want to come sit on the porch with him   He is SO handsome...I love his colors and it's nice to see these numbers for him. Oh wait...on the porch thing....too much snow still!! What an idyllic place though.

Rusty....want to come help save my catnip? See you soon!

What a lucky boy Rusty is, to have the porches to lounge on.

I see he is giving some beautiful numbers again today. :-D

The scenery from the porch is stunning and Rusty is stunning too. I can't believe you still have snow on the ground! Lovely greens this afternoon.

Love the photo - love the scenery! what a fantastic place. I had this momentary flash back of all the stories of Stu and Mannie sitting on that porch, coming up with recipes, and eating freeze dried snacks.

nice numebrs for Rusty! I hope you guys can get the canoes out soon.

I'm thinking it might be time for a Porch Party. Rusty is so handsome. Curry loves looking outside and Sidney is now being to feel confident to check out life beyond the aparment walls.

I'm glad to see that he is getting back to "Rusty" numbers again.
