4/10 Oldtimer Beethoven

Mr. B's in fine voice this morning. He sleeps downstairs with the door closed so he doesn’t wake us up during the night. Once we start moving around, he knows we’re awake and starts the most mournful, pitiful howling you can imagine. He can’t hear, but I guess he detects the slight vibrations of footsteps. If we didn’t know otherwise, we’d think he was stuck or in pain or something awful. As soon as I open the door, he greets me happily and hippity hops up the stairs.

Now he’s been tested and fed and he’s making the rounds. He’s in his active playful mood. Everything’s a toy and nothing is safe. Leave a pen on the coffee table? He scoops it to the floor. Leave a small flashlight on the window ledge? On the floor with that too. I guess I’ll go play with him. He plays with me like another cat, complete with stalking, pouncing, and chasing.

Anyway, I just wanted to stop in and say we’re doing great on Beethoven’s 6-month OTJ anniversary.

Awww, so nice to hear about Beethoven! He certainly sounds like he is healthy and happy these days. What wonderful encouragement for the rest of us still stuck here.

What a wonderful Beethoven report this morning! Thank you for sharing with us.....it certainly sounds as if he is very happy and feeling very good too! Good job! :thumbup

I love the WCR! Although, I can't believe the boy doesn't get to sleep with you at night.

Well, when DH isn't here, Beethoven does get to sleep upstairs with me. The reason he usually sleeps downstairs is because he almost invariably decides to come in and very loudly greet us at around 2 or 3 in the morning. If he'd stay quiet, he could have upstairs sleeping privileges all the time.
