awakened at early-thirty to a clang. He's on the center island (how do I tell him one counter is good- where he gets tested, but the other is a No-NO'?) ...I think it was the FDCC (freeze-dried Chicken crack) spoon that was laying there. It is atypical for him to jump up here. So clang as the spoon hits the floor. Jump out of bed, his overnight bowl is empty...so he gets a +9 snack today. Not our normal drill. Thumbs up on this new can. Elvis goes to the garage for his sinful carbs. We go BTB.

Wake up nearly +12. Put coffee on. Testing went not so well. Multiple pricks without a good sample, switched ears and multiple pokes again. Poor baby was squirming and not happy by then. I don't blame him. I hate when it goes like that. I gave extra FDCC. Breakfast went down and he was partaking as i came to post.

So a little slow getting our groove on...but all is well now and looks like it will be a great day!
Hope everybody elses is too.

I hate multiple sticks and squirmy kitty mornings. For all the drama this morning it seemed to do wonders for Hank's AMBG!

I always feel bad about multi-poke test times too. Good thing a yummy treat usually makes them forgive and forget.

I also use a little neosporin pain relief when that happens -- or Halo makes a nice all-natural salve. But, um, Betty, you won't be having this problem for long! :mrgreen:

Yay Betty and Hank!! So happy for your guys you are half way there!!!! I hate multiple poke fests and Scrabble hates it even more, they seem to happen few and far between now but it happens once and a while and I feel terrible! Your question in my condo is yes I did smell the medicine and it does smell like tuna lol! The pharmacist told me they put triple tuna flavor in it. Guess it doesn't taste that bad then? I don't know but he seems to be doing well so far! Hope you have a great weekend and I am looking forward to the party next weekend !!! (anti-jnx!!!!)

Cool! Can you believe it has already been a week! This next week will fly by just as quickly and then we all celebrate with you. And Hank will be happy with fewer pokies and you will have a much more relaxed schedule. Ah, freedom is a wonderful thing!

He's all napping now, now that he got ME up way too early.

It really is flying by. And we've been very lucky (anti-jinx anti-jinx) ..he's doing just great! Looks really good. I love him more all the time, if that's possible.

What's Big Mac up to?

BigMac is doing great, thanks for asking! He was bugging me as I was trying to work so I dropped a blanket on him. It took him a few minutes to wiggle out and then he plopped on top and took a nap. Ah, the life of a kitty! What can get better than that? Food on demand, catnip toys, lots of hugs, and warm places to nap!

Now I'm going outside to enjoy the beautiful day!

Happy Day 7 Betty & Hank.

It's funny but I am also having problems getting blood from Max.
I had noticed along the way in this journey that when Max's numbers were very high,
his blood was as think as can be.
When his numbers were lower, his blood was almost like water.
Very cool.

In my next life, I for sure am coming back as one of my cats. Maybe mystique cuz she
weighs 7 pounds. :lol: :lol: :lol:

A Cat-Mitzvah eh??? Got to love that idea. A group one. Now that will be fun.
I have tons of kippas leftover from my DD's so everyone can join in the hora!!!! :-D

that FDCC is something else, isn't it? Lucy got a LOT of tests when she was on the juice, and she loved every one of them because there were treats! Still, over a year later, every time I head toward the master bathroom (our testing spot) she starts yelling and spinning in circles because she thinks she's getting a treat. I give them to her only once a day now, poor kitty. I bet if she could figure out how to go back on insulin, she would, just to get more chicken.

Congrats on Day 7, no worries here!

Awesome day! Congrats on day 7 =) That FDCC is evil stuff. I've put mine inside a tupperware container. I make sure the lid is sealed all the way around and then I put it in a cabinet, hidden behind the less loved treats (just in case yanno) but even still, they know it's there. I've found Bella sitting on the floor staring up at the door. I'ma have to get child locks.

The person who came up with this stuff should either be given a State Dinner... or shot. I'm not sure which.

Another round of multiple pokes to get our sample. BOTH ears again. I tried oatmeal instead of rice last time when refilling the sock. I know some prefer that. I don't think it works as well..wondering if that could be the problem? Poor thing. He was SO not happy with the whole thing. Very difficult to get today..both times.

He seemed hungry..and on a sidenote, Elvis my dry addict AGAIN ate some wet! it wasn't a lot..just a few bites..but it is so great and hard to believe. I don't expect it consistently. I'd thought he just liked the liver as a fluke (hank wouldn't eat) but he took some licks out of the other bowl too. Maybe a teenie bit of progress.

that's our report.

Let me see what the other kitties have going on while i've been off doing other things.
