Blackie was in the yellow since pmps last night. :-D I think he's home from RBC.

WCR: Blackie spent a lot of time outside yesterday since the weather was so nice. He also got some lap time last night, which is always nice for both of us.

Sounds like Blackie is enjoying life right now! Good for him (and you). :smile: His #s are looking much better; you must be closing in on that magic dose!

I love to eat the grassy weeds, but my mom doesn't like me to puke them. What I really like is that crazy catnip. And it's all mine - I don't have to share with those other cats. Do you have catnip?

Tonight's shot was 11 cycles. What do you think about a .25 dosecrease? I've never shot between the lines before. Do I mark the syringe with a sharpie? Or eyeball the halfway mark between 4 and 4.5? I'm really happy with Blackie's progress, and I'd like to get his bg's a little lower - some low blues would be nice.
 
Ele, I just recently read a great idea here on how to measure the half-doses (or small doses). You take a known dose, so in your case 4.5u, and twist the plunger (very very helpful in getting only drops to come out) rather than push it, counting how many drops are in between 4.5u and 4.0u. Then you know how many drops you have to squeeze out to get to 4.25u. You can practice with water, and you can put food coloring in the water to make it easier for your eyes to see where the plunger is.

Hi again, Ele. Sarah's technique really works. In additon, I have an old syringe that I set at the dose level so that I can see what it looks like and compare it to what I am about to shoot. I eyeball it (but I'm very nearsighted and can see tiny things if I take my glasses off!) Stu says to thank Blackie for his offer to get you to send Stu some catnip. But we have lots, so thanks anyway!!
Good luck with your doscrease. We went back up by .25 tonight, too.
