Shadow is having eating issues and I sure can't figure it out. It's been since the surgery so I just figure she's still a little off from anesthesia. She's always been
so sensitive to that but I don't remember her not wanting to eat.

She usually gets about 1/4 of a 3oz can every 4 -5 hours . She's eating about 1 Tablespoon every 4 hours... and completely ignoring her second dish during the night.
I guess I shouldn't be too concerned as long as she's still eating the small amount....
I just keep waiting for her to actually eat it all.

I thought I would go get a different flavor today and see if that sparks some interest.... she hasn't had a friskies chicken and beef in a while and she likes it occasionally even though she doesn't seem to care for beef.

DH went to work.
My GM seems to barely know where she is ( which is scary because they could decide to never let her go home) especially since she has told them she takes care of her daughter.
and I'm getting better... but stayed inside the last 2 days to avoid the juniper. I have to go work this morning. Still have no voice.
Bought a new computer for myself.... mine seems to have died completely
so I'm not able to visit everyone at night as much.

Sounds like things are slowly getting better there. Sending appy vines for Shadow, and get better vines for your GM, you, and DH!!

Hi Rhiannon,
I hope Shadow's appetite perks up. Sometimes they just go through these phases. As long as she's eating, I think she'll be OK.
Sorry to hear about your Grandma. I remember when my aunt broke her hip at age 91 it took her quite a long time to regain her strength, and she had to use a cane (which she had always avoided!). Your Grandma only just had her surgery last week, so give her some time and perhaps arrange for someone to come in to care for your DM in the meantime, so your DGma doesn't worry.

Hi Rhiannon. Sorry to hear that Shadow's appetite is lacking. Hopefully it is just a temperamental thing and nothing warranting more concern.

I hope your DG improves and is able to eventually go home. Glad that you and your DH are feeling better. Have a great day.

I hope Shadow's appy gets better soon. Sending prayers for your DGMa and for your allergies. I'm glad your DH was able to go back to work today.

Any chance her throat got scratched up from the intubation during the dental? CD had a kitty who had something similar happen during a dental.
 
that is always a possibility.
I"ve certainly learned as of late that digestive tract issues aren't the speediest at healing.... ( dd and dh)

Guess the sign of that will be if she suddenly gets her appetite back....
tomorrow is her next adequan shot.
