In honor of Tuna Tuesday, once again Lola and Bug, aka Paw Prints Pizza, will make their famous triple tuna pies, with tuna and nip infused crust, tuna toppings, and now triple tuna infused cheese. YUMMMMMMMM! It's tradition!, and these pizza pies totally rock! and as a side benefit we have TUNA WATER too! so. well. anyways. ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) Coffee time! For today, I proudly offer Elsa's special 10 hour energy coffee, and triple shot espresso, beans from the heart of central Ethiopia. and for my mocha fans: Venti Quad orange and vanilla mocha, laced with orange swirls, topped with chocolate whip, garnished with orange zest, slivered vanilla beans and chocolate swirls....SWEET! OH! No worries, a dollop of orange and vanilla and chocolate swirl ice cream, on top of a dollop of fudge, topped with crystallized oranges and chocolate drizzle.... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh....... OH! forget it... no tuna mochas. BLECH!

I hope your day yesterday was a good one. Mine was good GREAT! It was a free day for me, with really no obligations, short of a need to clean the house, which I still didn't do by days end.  The weather looked good for today, so with having little obligations I thought why not go , and hopefully over in Eastern Washington. The pass reports looked favorable, so off I went.   This is what I wrote in last night's post about the day: "Hi everyone! I hope your day has been a good one. I LOVED mine! we did really well here. Sunny skies for the time I have been home. I don't think it made it much over 55, but no matter, the sun is out and the skies are blue. Maybe it will stay that way for tonight. I did make it out for that hike to Cowiche Canyon near Yakima, took a chance on the drivability, i.e. no snow no ice, of the mountain pass, and took off early this morning. Snoqualmie Pass was exceptional today. I sure did enjoy that drive over. Things topside were bare and dry, under sunny blue skies. GORGEOUS!! Once one hit Easton, on the east side of the pass, though the fog was there big time, That cleared up at Indian John Hill, and was fairly nice the rest of the way. It could have been sunnier in Yakima, but that too was no big deal. Kind of a 50/50 deal, no rains, so I was happy. The canyon hike at Cowiche Canyon was nice. It felt really good to be back over there again. Spring has not yet truly arrived there, but it will be soon. ALot is budding. River there was really flowing, great sounds. Wildflowers should be in full bloom in a few weeks, I will have to go back, maybe to Snow Ranch next time. There were a few out today, but one had to go to the Uplands section to find them. Anyways. nice time! I stopped in at a Starbucks on Summitville and got he biggest caffeinated thing I could get for the drive home. LOL. Tasty! oh - times like these that I love my car: 6 hours drive time, 366 miles all on one tank of gas, with some to spare. awesome!  "

Normalcy in MusketeerVille!   The kitties were good kitties yesterday, even Lola, for the most part...Lola will always be Lola. It was nice enough yesterday that Elsa made a few trips outside. It was so cool to see the old gal sunbathing on the deck railing, walking in the grass, just enjoying being outdoors. Gosh that so reminded me of Mannie. It does every time I let her out... He loved that backyard. Funny, Elsa continues to take over some of his "paths". That is kinda cool. She spent alot of time on the railing, face up to the sun. Really a nice time for her. And she didn't want to come in! Guess she figured that I had been gone all day, and now it was her turn, and she would stay out as long as she liked.I still am thinking on how to let Lola and Bug enjoy that sun too. I know they'd love it. It would be great to have some sort of a kitty run, or catio, for them so they too can spend sometime outside. Well, best start to think seriously on what to do for them, short of just let them out, and be prepared for the big round up if they take off .   A catio would be so much better! Oh - I was not late getting home from my hike, so no worries on the wrath of waiting kitties, or that dreaded blood oath.... Normalcy in MusketeerVille!

Have a great day everyone. It is a "social" day for me - later in the day I am off to Seattle for coffee with my friend. YAHOO! Before that I really had better clean the house....

KITTIES! Remember: think BLUE, think GREEN!! cat_pet_icon

Wow, sounds like you had a very nice day yesterday! Glad you were able to get out and enjoy some fresh air .. Send some of that spring our way! We are starting to get the warmer weather but I fear it's been so cold that nothing will ever bloom again! Nice on the gas mileage too, can't complain about that :-D

Beautiful pictures. I'm glad you were able to get out and enjoy yourself. How nice that Elsa was able to enjoy the sun so long yesterday. I hope you can figure something out for Bug and Lola. I'm sure they would love it. I hope you had a good visit with your friend.

Hi everyone! I hope your day has been a good one! We did ok here. I will hope there are blues skies and sunshine there. Maybe? That is what we have - what a nice afternoon, after a dull gray and cloudy morning. I think we maybe made 55. Not too bad. The morning was rather uneventful here. I did some shopping to replace a few house plants that Lola has more or less destroyed... The green is now back in the house. YAY! Seattle as good. It was great to see Barb and catch up on the office gossip.

Hi Devon :-D I did! It was a great one - off on a fun hike. Will do on that spring. It is still so cold in so many places. What a winter we have had. THX on the mileage - my thoughts exactly. :-D

Hi Carla :-D THX on the pics! I love that place, and go every year. The canyon is beautiful, an easy hike, and it gets some very nice wildflowers. Me too on Bug and Lola. I'd love for them to be out, but want them to be safe too. THX on today - it was fun.

Hi Michelle,
What a great day you had "east of the mountains". Wonderful photos of the pass and the canyon. I really like the snowy mist or fog. That was a long day: no wonder you needed a huge coffee. You should have had Elsa brew you some and put it into a thermos!

We're heading to NYC tomorrow and Rusty hopes that Elsa, Bug and Lola will be ready for the "traditional" activities on Thurs., Fri., and Sat.

Have a fine evening,

Hugs, scritches,

Ella & Rusty

p.s. I'm surprised that you missed my April Fools joke

I can just envision Elsa soaking in the sun...sounds like a little slice of heaven!! I don't know about letting that crazy Lola girl out there, though....she has no fear and I'd be worried she would get into trouble really fast. I am sure she'd love a private catio, though, complete with one glass panel to pound!

Have a great evening, Michelle!!

Hi Ella ~O) THX on the pics. It really is such a great place to visit. The pass was so pretty! And yes, it was a very long day - about 6 hours drive time, maybe 5 on the trails. So... BIG COFFEE for sure! I know... Elsa told me the same thing! THERMOS!! and that since she has Maui's jet she could deliver too! silly bean..... I have told the crew her that Rusty is off to the big city tomorrow. They have scattered to pack their bags and make sure all is ready. THX on tonight - relaxation time!

Hi Amy ~O) That it is for Elsa - she loves that as much as Mannie did. She sunbaths are well as he did. :-D I so agree on Lola. I think Bug would do just fine, stay on the deck. Right now he shows no interest. Lola on the other hand I have to look for her before I open any door.   She I worry about. I too think a catio for her would be so cool. now to figure out how to do it, so she could have access all year when she wanted. I suspect you are right - it would have to have a glass panel too!
