Morning!

As you can see last night's insulin has worn off.

How's he eating?

Let's keep it to 1 can this morning so he eats more at mid-day - remember he didn't want much yesterday afternoon because he ate so much in the morning.

Part of the morning hunger is the diabetes and when the insulin starts working, he feels less hungry because he can use the calories.

BJM He already ate 1 can, done at 7:15 a.m. I am getting ready to take him to the Doc's. I'm excited, just praying it all works out,

I'm going to give him two units this a.m. after looking at his sheet and what he ate, and he will be seeing the Doc. What do you think based on that ?

What time is the appointment?

To be safe, he needs at least an hour from the 1st test, plus food, without vomiting, to get his shot.

Good job reviewing the sheet. Yes, that seems like a good dose to me.

8:00 a.m. eastern - 2 units given.

I will post as soon as I can when I get back, I'm sure I will have to go to Drugstore first.

If the vet prescribes Prozinc, you may need to wait for it to be shipped to the vet.

Good luck!

I'll be back around 4-ish this afternoon; be sure to ask for help if you need it.

Good Luck Becki & Rags!!! Paws crossed, when you post again, you'll soon be able to be directed to an Insulin User Group for using an insulin that will work better for Rags :-D

Best of luck to you & Rags

Can't wait to see your post when you come home....Good News is in the near future!

Becki

I just got back from my rescue transport. How is everything going?

Have you done the mid-day shot OK?

How'd the vet visit go?
