Shanti started on insulin Wednesday evening, at first he seemed a little "tired" after getting an insulin shot but starting last night he seems normal. Drinking and urination has decreased somewhat. He seems like a pretty happy boy, Mom is feeling alot less stressed.
Your support the first day helped me to stop crying, gave me hope he could be happy and content.
With his IBD I am used to paying alot of attention to his mood changes, of course day 1 after a while he was looking at me as though to say "What is up with you Mom?" "would you quit staring at me and checking me every half hour."
As you all know caring for a cat with a chronic disease creates a strong bond, more that the normal one we have with our cats. Shanti and I go through his bad spells together, he trusts me and that makes caring for him easier. Love my little boy!
