Good Wednesday Morning, Everyone,

Rusty has bounced a bit higher again. Perhaps it is a reaction to the Fancy Feast Turkey & Giblets (but that food is only supposed to be 3 carbs). In any event, he hasn't had any of it since yesterday afternoon snack time. We'll see where he is this afternoon. I won't be able to get any tests until the late afternoon today because I'm going to take advantage of what might be the last good ski day of the week--maybe the season! (We're supposed to have rain and sleet tonight and rapidly warming temperatures.) Edward and Rusty will hold the fort.

Rusty had his usual great night sleeping with his beans. Good testing and a good shot. 2 sittings of breakfast (Wellness Turkey) eaten, a little play with Red Ears, and now lounging on the radiator, watching a few chickadees in the trees.

Back this afternoon. Everyone have a good day. Healing vines to all kitties not feeling well.

Hi Ella,
I found out with experimenting on Maggie's food, trying to find something she likes, that any change can cause a spike in her bg, even the ones with 4 carbs or less. That sounds like a fun day for you. Enjoy the ski day.

Enjoy your day of skiing! Rusty sounds very happy today--Hope Spring comes to you soon--We have crocus(guess i am so glad to see them!!) so you will too soon--Have a great Day--Giant Hugs from us! :cool:

Rusty, let's see some greens today, OK? We want a nice report when your bean gets back from skiing. If it were possible for me to lie on a radiator, that's what I'd be doing, too.

Posted this later last night... reposting in case you find it helpful... Mavericks numbers are better with special kitty turkey and giblets and he likes it also. Might be something to try if you need it. The thing with Maverick is he is SUCH a picky eater we had to find a food he liked. So Turkey and Giblets is the staple food here. Unlike Rusty, who seems to have a pallet for other foods. So just a heads up in case you need to try something new in the future.

Looking good as always Rusty. No doubt you will be back to the greens later today. Enjoy that radiator perch - bet the viewing is mighty fine from there. Chickadees? YAY - spring is coming!

have a great afternoon skiing - it should be good, with all the new snow you got the other day. be careful out there - I hear that the kitties have dug several tunnels... one must be careful.... Enjoy the ski!

Rusty, you are supposed to be a green kitty! I hope the numbers are down now that you have the Wellness Turkey again.

thanks, everyone. The ski (on a loop near the golf course in Tupper Lake) was really nice, but the snow is warming up too much. It's lucky we got out early. Got home to find our plower using an earth-moving machine on our driveway, pushing back the piles of snow so that we can get into our house more easily (you can see the end of the tunnel to our back door now, because there is no longer a sharp bend!). Now the piles of snow are about 12 feet high!!! It's unreal. I shudder to think of what the melt will be like!

Rusty and Edward had a good lunch together, a grooming, and a play. And Rusty and I had another play when I got home. His +8 is 95, but he had just eaten the remains of his lunch. Maybe he'll come down a bit by PMPS, but that didn't happen yesterday, so we'll see. I'm thinking about increasing his dose to .75 after we go back on Daylight Savings Time.

Karrie, thanks for the tip about the Special Kitty turkey & giblets. I've never seen that brand, but will look for it; if it's turkey, Rusty will like it (he seems only to like the turkey foods; doesn't much care for chicken and doesn't like fish at all). He got sick on Merrick Cowboy Cookout, which is beef, but I might try that again. He liked it very much (and I have lots of cans left over from Stu). It may have been a 1-time "event."

Back later. I've begun studying French (yet again) and want to do a lesson now.

Nice that Rusty's PMPS is down. Hope he gets back to his nice numbers. Maybe it is the change of seasons. I don't envy you when all that snow starts to melt. Wet and muddy. Good luck with your French. You certainly keep busy. Have a wonderful evening.

Your tales of snow amaze me, Ella! I don't mind a foot or so, but beyond that.... just wow!

Willie doesn't tolerate beef foods well either. I've read that for some cats, they don't have enough of a given digestive enzyme that allows them to break down beef properly. Willie's a big fan of chicken and turkey foods too.

Beautiful numbers for Rusty today. I must admit I'm a bit envious but am so glad that he is doing so well.

Good luck with the French lessons. Both my kids went to French Immersion school. Daniel is fluent in the language. I used to be fairly good at reading up to about junior high level, not that good at speaking it though. I can conjugate a mean verb too. I guess my skills will be put to the test again. Heather is planning to put Ayannna in the same school she went to.
