slight dip into the yellow yesterday for Rupie... obviously the 1.5 isn't enough so I'm working it back up.
Active and happy Rupert though. Seems pleased that we are home and glad to have his routine normal again. We had friends over last night and he came and interrupted us on the deck at 9pm to remind me that it was time to test him! and again this morning he jumped off the couch and headed for the dining room at 8am! clever boy. I got him some nice raw steak as pokie treats too so that probably helps!
Hoping his numbers come back down into better colours soon but realize it will take a few days for the shed to refill. Already beginning to try and play our next trip away and what to do with his dose. Am pondering the idea of lowering him to 1.5 again for the first three or four days and then going back up to 2.0 for the remainder... will decide that when I see how long it takes him to 'recover' this time around and come up with some sort of plan that will keep him safe. I'm pleased that he was seeing some yellow numbers whilst we were gone and that he was in the yellow when we got home, even though that's not great, it makes me feel a little happier that he's in a safe sort of zone. I do worry though that heading up daily into the reds (most likely) for 8 days whilst we are gone could do some nasty damage.. so again... I'll be pondering dosage.
Just had an email from the people at the horse show which ended yesterday (we left a day early).. that says that Ro won a high point award?!!! no clue what, but they are sending it over to me next weekend. how cool!
Hope everyone is having a good long weekend and enjoying the last days of summer.
