I was not going to post because Katie is not doing well. Kelly called a few minutes ago and said, "this is not looking good. Please keep the prayers coming, that is her best hope". She is running high fevers and the pain has increased even with the Dilaudid. The infection has spread a little more. She is still undergoing hyperbolic treatment.

I thank you for all your thoughts and prayers. I hope Katie will turn the corner. She is still fighting. God Bless her. My heart is very heavy, such a beautiful young lady, inside and out.

So sorry to hear the news and hope the hyperbolic chamber helps. Sending positive thoughts and prayers to Katie and her family to keep strong. Thanks for letting us know. I can see how special she is to you.

Katie...Please keep fighting. We are all with you in our prayers...please be strong.

Barbara...I'm also heartbroken by this news. We now all think of Katie as one of our own. (((Barbara and Kelly))))

It is heartbreaking; I am so sorry, Barbara. That poor child. I hate to hear that her suffering has increased. Thoughts and prayers and vines to Katie.

Stay strong, Katie. We are all praying for your recovery.
Barbara and Kelly: I hope and pray for a miracle that will turn this dreadful infection around. Katie is so brave. Please let her know that her many friends are sending her strength, positive thoughts, and much love.

Kelly and I thank you for all your prayers, white light, vines and anything else. Perhaps you should know what Katie is dealing with. An injection in the right buttocks that went bad. She got gangrene, MRSA, clostridial infection and a staph infection. The surgeries have removed most of the tissue and some muscle from her right buttock. It was confirmed today that she also has Necrotizing Facitis. She was transfused to raise her BP, they were afraid she was becomming septic. It is not a pretty story and the wound is absolutely terrible. I could not begin to describe it. She has more courage than any 15 year old I know. When I last saw her she kept saying thank you when I rubbed her back or gave her a drink of water. I affectionately call her 'Feathers'. All her classmates were getting red, green, blue, purple stripes in their hair. Kelly refused to allow her to. A client of Kelly's is a beautician so she said bring her in and I'll weave a few feathers in her hair, hence the nickname. Well, Katie reminded me that she no longer had the feathers. I said, yes you do. You are surrounded by Angles and all their feathers and when you get out of here, you can have more feathers. This whole adventure if you can call it that is like a Horror Movie. I hope she continues the fight, she will have a long recovery with reconstruction surgery, physical therapy but she will be able to deal with that. She is one brave little girl.

Again, thank you. It's a tough thing to deal with at such a young age but she is doing her best to beat it.

PRAYERS, VINES, HEALING ENERGY AND EVERYTHING ELSE WE CAN MUSTER FOR A MIRACLE FOR KATIE.
PLEASE LET KELLY & 'FEATHERS' OVERCOME THIS!!

So heartbreaking. I can not imagine how painful this is for the people closest to Katie, she sounds like such a special girl. Sending more healing vines.

Barbara, I don't know many people who could deal with this condition as well as Katie is. She is just amazing. Please tell her that we will be right there with her for as long as it takes to get better.

Hugs to Katie, Kelly, and to you,

Ella & Rusty

Katie, please get well. Prayers for your full recovery are coming straight to you from us here in Louisiana and all over the world.

We're all pulling for you honey.

Saying many prayers for Katie. This is such a heartbreaking thing to happen to anyone and especially a young person with so much to look forward to in the future. Yes, let's surround her with angels.

Barbara, for what it's worth, I did know of a young mother that developed Necrotizing Facitis a few years ago. After several horrifying weeks, extensive surgery and long rehabilitation, she did survive. I hope Katie's infection will cease very soon and her healing begin. I'm so sorry this is happening. It truly is frightening.

Strength to Katie's loved ones. (((((((Hugs)))))))

Praying every night for Katie & asking for a miracle to aid in her recovery!! She is fighting a strong fight..
May tomorrow be better!! Hugs & Love from us!!
