Remember when we got sooo far off schedule AMPS 3/8? And, his shot time went from 3 to 5? And, remember how I said I need him to be at 4:30 shot time before Sunday so we can get a +6 AND make it to church? Well.....

Here's what our day looks like -

AMPS (388) 5:30am .9u
+6 (267)

PMPS (249) 5:15pm - Tested at 5:15, so could start moving it up a few min. My first thought - hey! that's a good number...wait a minute! what was the +6? ugh...Hershey has been asking for food for about :45 off and on and is not pleased that we are now waiting. Wait :20 to see that it's going up.

5:30 retest (244) - okay, that doesn't look like rising to me...and, now Hershey is starting to think I'm playing some kind of sick joke on him...but, we wait ...

5:50pm retest (259) - going to say it's rising, but shoot .6u instead of .7u?

+6 midnight (60) - good number, whether or not accurate, so fed & didn't feel the need for immediate retest
:15 retest - just for my peace of mind (73)

Start to a mini-curve

03/10/12
AMPS (317) 6:10am - .8u
+6 (160)
+9 (187)

Re: 3/9 Hershey is at it again - PMPS (249)

what did you shoot on 3/8? I can't tell by looking at your ss.

Re: 3/9 Hershey is at it again - PMPS (249)

.6 at 5am - it's the next line down

Seems almost cruel...we want them to have lower numbers, but then we delay them until they get up to a certain number...crazy beans...

Re: 3/9 Hershey is at it again - PMPS (249)

And I thought 6:30 was early!
You shot .6 and he went up???
It's hard to make decisions based on that. If you're sure he's headed up, I might go with .7.

Re: 3/9 Hershey is at it again - PMPS (249)

That was my thought, too, but with meter variance I was afraid (259) and (249) might be closer together than on the number line, so I went with .6u - because he throws a low number with no warning and I'm not feeling well enough to deal tonight.

I have no idea why he went up on the 8th. I feel like there's something I'm missing. I did notice PM +6 was stress related, but I don't know how to measure his stress level or factor that in when reading his numbers/total picture. So many factors...

Re: 3/9 Hershey is at it again - PMPS (249)

I think .6 is fine too, Libby. And you're not necessarily missing something. Our furry little babies are unpredictable. You're doing a great job!

Re: 3/9 Hershey is at it again - PMPS (249)

Something has changed for Hershey, I'll go over the scale again this weekend.

Don't forget about Daylight Savings Time change this weekend too if you do that in your area.

Re: 3/9 Hershey is at it again - PMPS (249)

You know, sometimes we have great plans for their shooting schedule, and they have to remind us that THEY are the ones actually in charge. Kim and I just spoke about Kitty and Chewy... As we all know, everything is in flux, their schedules as well. It's a roll-with-it kind of thing. Adjust as you need to, but don't worry if it ends up changing. Just set the alarm, go to bed, wake up & shoot, and go back to bed. Work schedules may dictate otherwise, but every once in a while they have to let us decide something!

+6 midnight (60) - good number, whether or not accurate, so fed & didn't feel the need for immediate retest
:15 retest - just for my peace of mind (73)

Now wondering what AMPS will look like....

Adding these numbers to the original note so all numbers are together

Very nice cycle last night, I wish they all would look like that.

He hasn't seen a green for quite a while so the 314 this morning might be a little bounce but not bad.

I was going to suggest shaving a .1u off the scale again but you are finally seeing better numbers so the dance steps get faster now. Can you get a curve or mini curve tonight?

I'll try a mini curve, not sure how much I can get in on a Sat night. Out the door running errands before we go out of town next week. Waiting for noon, so we can do +6 and be back before shot time...I'll post whatever I can get though.

If doing a mini curve, which section is most important?

Thanks!
