Pretty good night for Mr. Chuck, hoping the time change doesn't mess with him too much...

I changed up his Google spreadsheet because he's on 3X daily instead of 2; the 2X spreadsheet just looked so jumbled and confusing, so I reformatted both his Excel one I keep locally and the Google one -- hope that doesn't cause confusion!!

ETA: Here's a Chuck curve ball:
MDPS -- 305 -- 1.0U
+4 -- 201
+7 -- 141
+8 (should be PMPS) -- 194

I am not at all comfortable shooting at 194, and I know this number is somewhat food-influenced because he was snacking about 15-20 minutes before I got it... So, now I probably won't shoot until his AMPS, which is around 4 a.m.

Re: 3/9-Chuck-AMPS 306; +4 117

Well, shucks - I have a TID spreadsheet already set up which you could have used! Here - Just save a copy to your Google account.

Could you narrow the columns a bit, though? It'll cut down on needing to scroll over to the right as much on smaller monitors, or those set to low resolution for vision issues.

Re: 3/9-Chuck-AMPS 306; +4 117

I narrowed the columns down quite a bit, but they still don't all fit on the screen. If you know of another way to make them smaller and still readable, please let me know. Not crazy about Google Docs since it doesn't behave the same as Excel...

Does anyone else have Firefox popping up a message when you close you Google Doc spreadsheet saying something like the changes may not be saved? I'm getting that every time and everything is saved automatically. Not crazy about Firefox either, but finally went to it when a couple of web pages wouldn't display in IE... <sigh!> Getting old is for the birds!!

Re: 3/9-Chuck-MDPS 305

It isn't perfect, for sure.

Have you tried converting to the new Google Sheets? Its got some new features, like filtering.

Re: 3/9-Chuck-MDPS 305

Since I'm a nerd and actually "enjoy" trying to spot patterns on spreadsheets, I hope you don't mind if I ask a question so I can understand....

Since you're doing TID, are you noting the PS reading in the hour cell before the cell you've got the Units designated? Or is the shot at the same time as the PS reading. Looking at yesterday, for example, was the MD shot at 11:00 AM or 12:00 PM, and was the PM shot at 7:00 PM or 8:00 PM?

It looks like TID is keeping Chuck more even keeled.

Re: 3/9-Chuck-MDPS 305

Hopefully I can get Chuck on a stable 8 hour cycle and his spreadsheet won't be so wonky! And, hopefully, the TID spreadsheet will make it easier to spot trends and patterns. The 2x spreadsheet was so confusing to me...

The BG reading is in the "hour" slot where it was taken; in most cases, I had to put the insulin unit amount either just before or just after the BG reading. Hope that makes sense... If the BG is in the 12 slot, that's when it was taken; the unit amount may be in the 11 or the 1 slot, but the shot was given where the BG "lives."

Yesterday, the MD shot was at 11 a.m. and the PM shot was at 7 p.m.

Gotta tell ya, I'm starting to like pink and yellow a whole lot more than the red and pink he was getting most of the time. Of course, I'll probably jinx it now, but it's sure nice to see no red for the last 5 days!!

Thanks! That makes perfect sense. :-D
