Dunno what happened. I certainly felt safe going to sleep with TiTi steadily rising, with a BG 203@+5. However she bounced to pink this AMPS.

Looking at her numbers the previous day, I saw that she nadired at BG 101, way too high to be comfortable with her reducie. I went back to 12U. But if she whomped down to a low light green early this morning, that could explain the huge bounce to pink.

Frankly, I am not sure what happened:confused:.

Any interpretations area welcome.

Time to go shopping for a new pair of patience pants, the old ones aren't working anymore. :p Yesterday you were asking about dropping to 11 units, today you went with 12. How about picking 11.5 and waiting for the bounce to go away - that's where the patience pants comes in handy. :bighug: She could still be bouncing from two days ago.

How can that happen? I mean how can she bounce from 2 days ago? I thought that she'd already cleared that bounce. Based on that idea, I figured I was dealing with a failed reducie, and, as I understand it, you're supposed to correct a failed reducie immediately.

I am not trying to be argumentative - I am trying hard to understand. The parameters for interpreting data are complex.

Numbers can wobble around during a bounce. With Neko, the worst numbers were usually three cycles after the event that caused the bounce. If Titi also went lower the night of the 6th, she could still be bouncing. Remember that we make dosing decisions based on how low a dose takes a cat. 12 units got her down below 50. You have to be patient to see where the new dose will take her, after the bounce was gone. If you get bad numbers during just one cycle, wait to see if it's a pattern or just a one-off.

OK. I had no idea that 3 cycles later, the worst numbers could show. That certainly fits what I'm seeing now.
Well, my next question is whether or not I should return TiTi to 11.5Units?

Ok Ok, so sue me. I did not know what to do, so I returned to 11.5, since that seems to be where I should have stayed.

So far high greens and pretty flat high greens.:D:D

I honestly do not know all that much compared to the rest of you guys, but I'm learning!:bookworm:

Kathy, a bounce can take 3 days or 6 cyces to clear . That is where is the patience pants comes in handy . Here is a pair for you, they did not fit me, so I am passing them on ;).......

Very stylish. Thank you. I guess it looked like I was being impatient, but the problem was different - I did not understand my BG numbers, and I misinterpreted what I was seeing.

I thought the yellows and blues that came after PMPS on March 6th were, in fact, the full bounce. It sure looked like a low bounce.

Then, the yellow that came after PMPS of March 7th was a total surprise. Heck, I knew it couldn't be bouncing off of blue - not when I had been in green and blue for so long. Thus, I decided that it couldn't be a bounce, but was, rather, a failed reducie. So, I went back to 12Units, as I understood, one is supposed to do immediately after seeing that a reducie has failed.

I hope I've clarified what happened. My big problem is that I still have trouble interpreting the figures I am gathering. Sigh.

Don't feel bad. After over five years at this, I still have problems with it more times than I want to admit. The 6 cycle rule is a pretty good one to get used to, though.

FWIW, I think you did the right thing going to 11.5 tonight. Now keep those pants at the ready, just in case, and let's see what TiTi does, once her depot adjusts from all the changes lately.
