TGIF Lantus Land,

Tried waking myself up a little early this morning to compensate for Daylight's saving. It didn't really happen. :oops: Shasta's appy is pretty great this morning and I didn't even add any Friskies!! I added way too much yesterday and it was a very yellow day...my bad. I left her only a .50oz FF T&G for sleep time, but I guess that wasn't enough because she proceeded to wake me up at 3:50am (+10) and again at +11. :-x To make matters worse, I cannot find the turn-off valve to my nose! UGH!!!

Overall, her mood was sooooooo much better yesterday afternoon. She was very excited for dinner time last night and breffis time this morning. She's preening right now and I got purrs last night at bedtime. Pee and poop yesterday (I'm now keeping a tally!) Only things we didn't get yesterday was play...and I'm sure she meant to, but got wrapped up in napping! :-D

+3.5=142 (3% FF T&G .75 oz)
+5=158

Hi Mary & Carla, I hope she slide today because lord-a-mercy she was super high this morning. All my fault, of course. She was excited to see me tonight. I was late getting home tonight, which throws off my daylight's saving schedule. :YMSIGH: Pretty good appy tonight.

Two bits of good news...two pee piles and a HUGE poo!! (Pictures to come when I get home later!!) AND I got a call from the vet's assistant today saying that her urinalysis test came back and all looks fine. They are waiting for one more test that usually takes 3-4 days to get back...early renal detection test or something like that. I didn't get the voicemail until late, so I don't have all the data, but I'll get a printout of the results as soon as I can. Ok, sitting in a voice lesson w/ a student an they keep asking me what heard. Guess I should pay attention.

I'll be back later w/ picture of poo!! :-D

I'm glad the vetty report came back with a clean slate and hope that the rest of it will be good also. Have fun figuring out how much food to leave out at night! :lol:

shadow had a quick trip to vet today. her 2nd anal gland party. :-x
wonder if that makes Shasta moody.... you haven't mentioned doing that in a while.

also...vet suspects some arthritis...making shadow moodier.... maybe shasta has a touch of that? That's pretty common.

Rhiannon, I tried expressing her anal glands two weekends ago when she had that horrible morning pooping and throwing up. But honestly, her anal glands weren't bad at all. As for the arthritis, I know she's got suffering from some. I have cosequin, but haven't given her any lately. In fact, I had only given her a few capsules and then got nervous that it was affecting her BG so I stopped. :-|

Hi Ella, I was so relieved after listening to that voice mail. I kept it just to re-listen to it when I start getting nervous about her mood! :razz: Thanks for the well wishes...I think I'm going to need them as I'm about to head to bed...drainage while I sleep almost killed me last night! :shock: :lol:

Oh I love the Shasta loves her mommy pic because she does. I "passed" on the poo picture :lol: :lol: :lol:

The only test I can think of right off the bat that might take longer and give you some indication of CKD is a creatinine:protein ratio. So it will be interesting to see what they ran. If you get to talk to them tomorrow, ask what the urine specific gravity is.
