Yesterday's Thread

So this past week I started Kai on a few new supplements to help support his Kidneys but I fear I may have caused some tummy problems. I think he may be a little cosntipated because his last two morning poos have been very small and very soft. I've seen some people on here give their cats miralax. How much miralax do you give a cat? And can it cause any problems?

Good morning, Maddie. Hope Kai's tummy feels better soon. I'm gonna be starting Petey on Dasaquin -just waiting for the nonexistent right time to possibly upset the delicate balance.

Hi Maddie, I’m sorry to hear Kai’s tummy is upset.
I use Now (brand) Psyllium Husk to keep things in balance, 2.5 pinches two times a day and it seems to keep things pretty regular.
I also use 1/4 teaspoon Egg yolk powder from Natures Farmacy (2x daily). https://naturesfarmacy.com/products...urce-33-protein-59-fat?variant=40856557191191

You may want to check with vet to see what they think.

Think I'm going to hold off on the Miralax, Kai had another small bowl movement with a much better looking stool this afternoon. Maybe the slipper elm is starting to kick in and help out.
