Lowest number I have seen in a very long time. Excited to see greens but also mildly concerned he is so low so early in the cycle. It is 4 am here, definitely a no sleep kind of night.

For clarification, hypo is considered 3.3 (60) and under correct? I have tons of strips, high carb wet and dry food and honey so I feel pretty prepared if the time comes.

3.8@+4
Think I'm going to start testing half hour. Kinda freaking out, never dealt with a hypo before and he normally nadirs closer to +6 to +8

3.7@+4.5, glad he isnt dropping to fast
Harold seems pretty sleepy (I too am quite sleepy) but he was also super hyper all day so not surprised. Going to keep testing every half hour for my peace of mind (and help keep me awake)

Hi Karli, sorry no one was here to help you, maybe next time put the date in your title The Need Help!
I'm going to tag a few prozinc users because it looks like Harold earned a decrease looking at your SS since he dropped under 90

He sure put you in the "hot seat"! Those are perfectly safe numbers. Hypo can be different by cat, but we consider under 2.8 to be the "take action" number for a human meter. You give high carb food below 2.8, and test every 30 mins. Below 2.3 give honey/karo plus high carb food, and test every 15 minutes.

The other thing to consider is how long until nadir - 3.2 at nadir is perfectly fine, but a 3.2 well before nadir is something to be vigilant about and possibly intervene. 2.8-3.3 we usually give 1-2 tsp medium carb food (10-14%).

You have a decision to make about dosing method now. He technically did not earn a reduction following MPM, but did earn it if SLGS.

Regardless of what you choose, I would use 9.8mmol now as your cutoff for giving a full dose. So anything below 9.8, give a partial dose or skip.

Correct, it's very similar to LLB TR protocol (just does not have the long term diabetic clause). Karli was trying to decide which method to go with.
I have decided I am for sure switching to the MPM, that being said I am at preshot with 9.8 and I sure dont feel like dealing with
the stress of giving him 2 full units right now. I think I am going to give 1? I desperately need some more sleep haha.

Its okay, thank you. I ended up getting help on the Facebook group from Karen. If she hadn't chimed in when she did I definitely would have added some urgency to the post haha.

3.2 is a safe number... You could have steered up with some regular carb food. Id reduce back to 1.75 if you're nervous.

I gave 1 unit this morning at a 9.8 preshot as I have got 2 hours of sleep and dont want to have to worries about him going to low all day.
After this I will stick with 2 units unless preshot is 9.8 or lower.

My main concern was he was at 3.2@+5 and nadirs around +6 to +8. I gave food as I was directed to by the gals on the facebook group, but good to know for next time!

Great that he didn't bounce! Like Janet said you could still reduce to 1.75U if that will make you feel more comfortable

I feel fine sticking with the 2 units I think. I want to keep seeing green numbers, just need to get used to him being this low haha.
I am definitely a little confused tho as some of the information contradicts itself. On the Hypo page it says anything under 60 (3.3) is considered a hypo, but with MPM you dont reduce unless you go below 50 (2.8). So should stick with anything under 2.8 is hypo?

Yes, under 2.8 (for human meter). I believe the 3.3 is just the definition of hypoglycemia, but you shouldn't be having symptomatic hypos at that number.
