Yesterday's Condo

Willie's #s are definitely a bit higher on the 1.0u, as I suspected they might be. Going to leave him alone this week as I will be shooting at +11.5 every morning this week to get caught back up by Sunday and I have client meetings this week, so getting +2s or lunch time spot checks will likely not be an option. Absent Willie throwing some really low or really high numbers, we'll ride out this week and look into dosecreasing this weekend.

Willie is his furry purry self. Lots of cuddles this morning.... he had his bath after first breakfast, and was standing over his toy pile contemplating his options when I left. I had a detachable bra strap fall out of my laundry bag, and it is his new favorite toy. I think he likes how the little metal hook clinks on the floor. If it makes him happy....

Am so thankful we are to the point that I can actually report that 5 Ps are in place.

My heart is heavy today over Whisker's going to the bridge this weekend. As always, thoughts and prayers are going out to all the kitties and beans in need.

Yuck. Do not like that number after where we've been recently, but I know that it is in part because I jacked with his dose this past weekend with late shots, 2 decreases in a row, etc. We will wait this out 2 more cycles then decide what to do (barring a number in the 400s).

You wouldn't know Willie was throwing higher numbers.... I walked in the door to grousing about my late arrival, though some forgiveness was given once I produced an offering including a jumbo tub of bonito flakes and several new small toys. I had arranged all his toys this morning and found upon my arrival at home that all had been played with today. Lots of pets and purrs and patient waiting for dinner and meds. After playing some with me and his sparkleball on a pole (with feathers!), he's now settled into checking out the new toys in the dining room... but I have to say, he is playing with more vigor tonight than I've seen in years! He just bolted through the living room like a flash of light! This furry jingly toy I picked up with legs is currently a big hit, which is funny because it looks kinda funny so I almost didn't buy it! We may have to go back for more.

Now he's standing in front of me, looking at me expectantly. Suppose I should figure out what the boy wants before I dig into work tonight. Would much rather be playing with him!!

You'll have to post pics of this furry jingly toy. I love hearing how playful he is and that all his toys were played with today. Must be heartwarming.

Me too, love to hear stories of playing kitties. I'm glad Willie's so full of energy, Christie.

A search and rescue mission is currently underway for Miss Mousie, who disappeared yesterday afternoon. If there is something a toy can go under, Willie will find a way to get one there!

Willie wore himself out with all the fun and is now napping in front of his heat dish. Don't know what he'll do when it is too warm to use it! I guess bask in the window???

Sorry for the higher number. I too bet he will be down soon. Nice on the new toys and the play - I wish Mannie was more of a player - he just gives me that "whatever'; Look and heads for the nanner pile. :roll: It's nice that Willie feels good whether the umber is low, or high.

Great report on the playing front today!! Isn't it terrific when they start to have lots of energy again? (Rusty has always had lots of energy, but Stu really got his playing back when we got his diabetes somewhat under control).

As promised... pics of Willie's favorite toys. Note that I left out the jingle balls, some flat glass beads he likes to bat around, a couple of catnip toys.... and the bra strap. :lol: :lol: I actually had them all set up and was just adjusting the brightness on my camera phone, when Willie decided that he needed to be in the pic too, and came and laid on top of almost all of them. :shock: The first picture is his "Why you'z gotz to be all up in mah bidness?!?" look. ow he's back to napping with a big smile.



Top row: Catnip carrot

Middle Row: Miss Mousie 2.0 (not to be confused with 1.0, 2.1 or 2.2), crazy fluff guy... he has those rattle eyes or something similar inside of him so he makes that kinda noise, and a catnip sardine made by same company as the Nanners

Bottom Row: Turquoise fluff ball (hard to see the color in the pic)... no bells/whistles... just very lightweight fluff. And a spider ring.

I also found these little reusable shopping bags at Dollar Tree that fold up into strawberries and watermelons... he seems to like batting those around too...fine with me as the bags aren't the best quality to be using as shopping bags!

Sorry we weren't able to get around to checking in on everyone tonight... I had promised my FSIL I would review the proposed contract offered by her new employer, which it turns out was a really crappy contract and took me awhile to get down all the problems with it. If she can get a job close to where my parents live, then she and my brother can live rent free in my grandparents old house (instead of paying rent, my brother puts money into fixing the house up, so it is win-win for everyone). It is tricky though, because she is a chiropractor, and new positions generally come with non-compete clauses saying she couldn't work within X miles of the employer for a set # of years. She wants to open her own practice sooner rather than later, so she's having to take that into account. Hoping she will get something to keep them close to home.

Which reminds me... I still need to get her a graduation present!!! LOL
