Good Morning, Everyone,

I'm off on a snowshoe. The boys are "home alone". They both have their instructions. Looks like we have another mini bounce this morning, comparable to the mini bounce at PMPS yesterday. I'm considering shaving Rusty's dose to try to raise the lows a bit to keep them from producing mini bounces. Any opinions/advice will be appreciated.

No advice here. I have a super bouncy kitty and have tried up and down and up and down. Enjoy your snowshoe Ella! I bet the boys will have a great "guy's" day.

Have a great snowshoe today, Ella. I'll be interested in the advice on Rusty's mini bounces. He's still looking so good.

The lagoon king is back

Is there maybe something you can do with his meals to help with the mini bounces?

Hi again, everyone,

What a gorgeous day for a snowshoe hike: cold (6 below zero this morning), but gradually getting warmer, brilliant sunshine on the snow, blue sky. The snow was good (about a foot deep). There were 4 of us on the hike. We saw lots and lots of animal tracks, including bear tracks(!) (coming out of hibernation?). Also saw an otter in the Bog River, a pheasant, and lots of little birds (Pine Siskins?). We hiked up and down through gullies, snowfields, trails, in beautiful mixed woods. Had lunch on the bank of the Round River (had to cross a rather wide brook on the ice to get there, but no one went through the ice).

The "boys" had a good day. When I got home they were listening to Wagner's "Tristan und Isolde". Rusty was very happy to see me (Edward was, too). Rusty had a great play with his bell balls, batting them all around the room.

Off now to visit condos. I hope all is well in LL tonight,

Ella & Rusty

Hi Ella. I'm glad you had a good day. I walked a few yards up the road, and decided it was too cold, so turned around.

I love hearing your hiking the trails, stories. :-D

Rusty looks wonderful again today. He and his daddybean must enjoy seeing you come through the door, after being gone all day. :-D

I love hearing about your outdoor adventures too. It's the closest I'm going to get to a snowshoe hike. Good luck tweaking Rusty's already great numbers.

The Snowshoe sounds wonderful - wow - lots to see too! and perfect weather. It is always nice to come home and be greeted, to know that they missed you. Well doe Rusty - and Edward too.

Good luck with the dose shave if you decide to do that. It may be worth a try, possibly it could raise the lows. Well, you an always go back to the original dose if that does not achieve the desired goal. Rusty looks nice and steady and even today. What a great set of greens. maybe he read dosecrease and decide to fatten things our for you. :-D

Hi Ella.... I'm so happy you had such a lovely day!

FWIW, I'm not sure that shaving his dose will raise the lows alone. I'm afraid it will raise his entire curve. I would suggest you leave the dose alone but you feed a little bit higher carb food prior to his nadir. If you are feeding the WN turkey that is 4% then maybe try one of the WN 6% foods like chicken/ herring or turkey /salmon. If that doesn't bring it up, try the WN salmon/trout which is 8%.

Hope the three of you had a lovely evening.
