Good morning LL! Thanks for all the well-wishes, vines, and prayers yesterday. Simon's dental went well, and he had more oral disease than we knew! He had not ever had a proper dental or X-rays. (Shame on mama bean. . .) He had 9 incisors and 2 premolars extracted.

He had a little bit of an odd afternoon an evening where he would not lie down and rest. He started to act better by evening. I questioned whether to give more Bupe, but I did it in the end. I think he is ok now. Here is how he finally settled in at 11pm last night. The drooler, Logan, watched over him when I crashed.



Simon already joined the clean plate club this morning, and that was before his Bupe! I think he's doing great.

Awww, that's adorable. I love cross-species love! So glad Simon's doing so well- he's a champ!

Gorgeous pix and I second the vote that Simon is a champ, that's a lot of teeth to have out all at once!

Those are certainly awww pics!!! Thank you for sharing them. :D Simon has a very pretty # today. Hoping for a wonderful surf for you both. :)

How sweet! Those are definitely big awwwww pics, so adorable. At Maggie's last dental when I got her home, she acted a lot like Simon, where she would not rest. I guess the anesthesia and bupe affect them differently. Sending healing vines for Simon's mouth, what a trooper.

Can you find out if the clavamox drops contain sugar? Many of the liquid forms of ABs have a syrup base. If it does, Simon's numbers will be effected. You may be able to find a compounded form that is sugar-free.

I love the photos. Logan is very sweet to take care of Simon.

Hi guys .. ok, I have to put in my awwww too :-D I'm glad to hear that simon is doing so well .. this mornings number is very nice considering what he's been through! Have a great day guys!

I think "awwww" is an understatement!!! Looks like Logan is making absolute sure that Simon stays laying down and resting :lol: :lol: ! Continue to feel better, Simon!!

Awww Kim. How sweet is Logan to care for Simon and make sure he rests. Ohhh I just love that.

Simon is indeed a trooper, after all those extractions.....so are you, for that matter, for not fainting dead away. I assume you didn't. :-D

I didn't find out the answer for sure on the Clavamox (whether it has sugar.) This was the best info I found: Old FDMB post

I will try to ask vet tonight. The label and the insert do not say anything about sugar.
