Good Saturday Morning, Everyone,

Rusty is starting off the day with a much better number than yesterday! And I think it may reflect some food, too, since he ate some of his nighttime food after the cut-off hour (I smelled it when he hopped back into bed). (We do semi-free feeding here!) Good test (only 2 tries), good shot (it got in), good breakfast (eaten in the first sitting, so I put out a little more for 2nd sitting), good play with Red Ears and his string, Big Bug, Octopus (lots of strategy this morning; this cat thinks ahead and anticipates). Still waiting on lb activity.
Thanks again to everyone who commented on the Levemir smell (I've decided that it smells ok) and on the Wellness foods. I hope that everyone having trouble finding Wellness on the shelves will be able to get some soon. We are lucky because the case I asked our local food store to order a couple of weeks ago has "good" dates. Christie's vet suggests that a drop of liquid vit. B complex could be added to the food just to make sure if the date on the can seems questionable.
Weather report: horrible! 35 degrees and raining, with rain expected off and on all weekend (turning to freezing rain and then snow later on Sunday). Not a great skiing weekend.
Everyone have a good Saturday. Sending healing vines to kitties & beans not feeling well.

And ouch on the weather!!!! Its huge snow flakes falling up here. The pretty kind of wet snow that collects on the dog when she's outside. Happy Saturday

'Morning Ella. You leave food out too? I don't know why I bother, it's always dried out when I get up, but then the goofball starts nibbling on it, as I'm preparing fresh.
Rusty is so active in the morning, must do your heart good to see him playing like that. Oh wait....you participate, don't you? Yuck, that means actually moving the body in the morning.*grin*

Hope you have something fun to do today, that doesn't include outdoor activity. :smile:

Nice report on rusty as usual Ella....sorry your weather is not so good for you.
The Wellness people never called me back and I am disappointed. I was leaving my number on the automated line the other day and I had a weird feeling that they would not get back to me. The first agent said that the lines were so busy and that I should leave my number. I don't think I want their coupons anyway....

Much better start today than yesterday! Rusty's back to himself!
We free feed too--Moonie seems to know to eat, & today she has eaten quite a bit alreadY!!

Morning guys! nice Rusty report - such a better start than yesterday

Bummer on the weather - no skiing today then. :sad: we have a sunny morning! HOORAY! I had best get out in it while I can - rains predicted for later today. what else is new there - this is the PNW after all, and we have a reputation to uphold. :lol:

if you're doing drops on the wellness, be sure to get B complex.... a B12 only luquid won't address the deficiency.

Nice start today! I'm glad you think the Lev is OK and cool that you have a whole case of Wellness w/ good dates.

Mud season is on the way? Stay sane through it, cat play is good for the bean too.

:mrgreen: at +9!!! (87)!! We've had a good brushing (by DH) and a good play and a good nap. Now Rusty is eating his +9 snack and listening to the Met opera broadcast.

This has been a tough day on the FDMB and our thoughts and prayers are with our sick kitties, their beans, and most lovingly with those whose kitties have gone to the bridge: Lori (Babibear), Lana (Eliott), Larry (Twigie), Susan (Vanna).

What a much nicer day for Rusty!! Sorry you have such ucky freezing rain and can't get out. Thanks for your advice yesterday...glad I took it and didn't increase. Have a great (warm) day.

Hi Ella, a really nice cycle of numbers for Rusty. I free feed Maggie, too, and leave food for her overnight. Thanks much for the info you posted on my condo about ordering the Monoject syringes online. I thought I would try them next time. I hope your weather will be better tomorrow. I just spoke with my brother in Jamestown, NY earlier, and he said the same about the weather.
