Morning ~O) ~O) ~O)

Most P's in place already, still waiting for the poo. We were all blues and yellows yesterday :-D I do have a question about the nadir. I few times on this dose, and the dose before, it seems the nadir is the PS # (or falling), I was wondering if I should do anything differently? I was told not to feed after the nadir, but what do you do if the nadir is the PS? I didn't know if maybe I should give a small snack later in the cycle, or just leave it alone? Just a curiosity question, I guess. Thanks in advance.

The nadir is the lowest point in the cycle. Sometimes the nadir will be earlier and sometimes it will be later.
If your PS like number is falling, then the lowest number in that cycle is the nadir, not the PS like number.

Thanks Dyana :smile: I understand that the lowest number in the cycle is the nadir, and that it does shift, but I guess I am confused by your last sentence. If the lowest number in the cycle is the PS #, that isn't considered the nadir? Or, maybe I have answered my own question: if PS is falling the lowest number after that is the nadir. Ok, Sorry - a bit sleep deprived today. ohmygod_smile

Either way, my question is more about whether there is anything that I can do to influence the nadir so that it is not at PS time (or after). For example, on 3/1, his AMPS was 69. I shot the full 1u because I knew I could be home to monitor, but i would have been really nervous if i had to work that day. anyway, He went up to 104 at +1 but then dropped to 37 at +4.5. In hindsight, I wondered if that 69 was still falling and should I have fed later in the cycle to slow that drop (although he was 203 at PM+8). I don't know if my thought process makes any sense. Sorry.

Okay, I must be sleepy too...and I'm fasting for a doctor's appointment, so no coffee :sad: ...
You mean, if the nadir is at +12 or around there. That is a very late nadir. Some people appreciate a late +12 nadir because they know the BGs will be headed up, but it would scare me too, when I had to go to work.
Some people give a snack at +8 or +9, but if his pancreas is working a little that may make him come down even more.
Lets see what others have to say.

Wish i had any answer for you but i'm just stopping by to say hi. I'm sure you'll get some good information. Sometimes Zeus does put his nadir way out there. I hope he keeps doing well on this dose. Looks like he might be ditching the pinks and hanging out yellow, blue, and green.

I hope you re-tested that +1 to make sure it wasn't a wonky test.

Dyana's right. Some cats have a late nadir. It's almost like their cycle is 6 hours off. If this is the case, the lowest point is at pre-shot time (or thereabout).

Hi everyone, thanks for stopping by. Just tested again +7 = 204. Zeus didn't touch his frozen meal today, kind of strange. All is good here, we got the final P. :smile:
