tiki is looking super! i do want to strongly encourage you to make sure and get a mid-cycle test in every night as well as the day cycles. he's got low overall numbers and is moving towards the exciting you know what (antijinx) status, but we don't want him getting into dangerous territory and not be caught. this is the time to be even more vigilant than when he was in higher numbers. that amps of 58 on 3/2 suggests he may have been in need of some gravy during the night cycle below. just want to keep our little buddy safe.

Gave him a FF Fish dinner for his breakfast and he barely ate any of it all day. Sometimes he eats the fish and others he can't be bothered. He also had the runs today. Betting it's from not eating all day. This is when I miss not being able to leave out dry food for him to snack on as he likes.
This is probably a dumb question - but when a cat goes OJT does that ever allow for the re-introduction of dry food in addition to the wet?

Just gave him some HC food. Not sure if this low number should result in a dose decrease as he hasn't eaten like normal all day (altho he did eat all of his dinner).

yup. it's a decrease of .25u. i need to look at his ss and see what he's getting.
no, they can't ever eat dry food again. they are just diet-controlled diabetics.

great job catching that mid-cycle 43! i was having some kinda vibes this morning, i guess! doo-dee-doo-dee. ;-)
looks like his nadir is +5-6ish, perhaps. i'm not 100% certain. make sure you keep testing him and help him stay up until he's past that point. you want 2 rising tests, ideally not food influenced + past the nadir before you stop testing tonight.
you can leave canned food out for him. it will last ok - according to what i've heard others here say.
fish can be hard on boy's plumbing - if he has trouble with bladder problems, it might be better to switch to a fowl (chicken or turkey) food. there's more info on http://www.catinfo.org on it.

My fault on his back door trots...I KNOW he doesn't like the fish but I try to sneak one in every now and then hoping he just eats it so it doesn't go to waste (I only have a few more to go). I bought a whole case of the stuff at Costco (as this was the only case in the classic genre that they sell) and then as soon as I got it home he wrinkled his nose up at it (although lately he's been doing that with flavors that he has always liked, grrrr and flick, flick, flick...). He has always loved the chicken flavors so I try to keep it BIRD-i-fied. He will eat the turkey flavors too and has usually liked the chopped grill flavor but lately he doesn't seem to eat much of that one.
He just better not turn into one of those fussy butts that wont eat anything or else I will let his numbers go back up high so he is starving again! :lol: :lol: :lol:
It's 4a and I am still up working....Tiki is here laying on all my paperwork being a good little assistant (not).

AND.....what is it with these quarter doses???? I happily get on the half and full doses (ie LINES I CAN SEE) and as soon as I get there he drops like a fly. On those obnoxious quarter doses he lolly gags around for days.....CATS!!! My dog would NEVER do such things to me!!! :lol: :lol: :lol:
