Oh dear god I am pathetic. Today of all days was not the day to give a furshot. I tried the different technique of 'rolling the skin' as described on a page here on the site. And although I could have sworn I felt no wet afterwards, I certainly smelled a strong odor of Lantus at the site. I have been using the tent method all along, and though had made several bad shots early on, I had a good run going (17 no misses), w/ no misses on the new dose. I know, everyone does it sometimes, but I REALLY didn't want to do it today when a bounce might have been clearing. On the other hand, his AMPS was so high, the bounce was probably not done.

VENT VENT VENT. furious at myself. :banghead::mad:. Arrrrrrgh.
Hope everyone's Wed starts better.

Oh if I had a dollar for every fur shot of mine. . .
I've even done back to back fur shots :banghead::facepalm:
Never a good time really. . .

I always used the tent method - I just had to be mindful of not shooting through the tent!

Please continue to monitor for ketones and, so we don't drive you crazy asking, note the test results on the ss somewhere.
I used to place the test results in the cell corresponding to the 'plus' hour, as in the example form BKs ss below. Putting a note in the remarks works too.

This is also an example of how ketones can rapidly develop to dangerous levels - negative to large in exactly 24 hours.
