3/31 - Sam update

Hi all
I apologize for being distant, I had spring break, then last week was very busy including job interviews (yay), and honestly I just burned out and felt overwhelmed.
Sam's update: I increased his dose to 0.9u for 1 week, and have increased again to a fat 1u this past Tuesday. I'm also planning on waiting at least 1 week on this dose to see what happens. I update his SS everyday.

I will try to post more often again :mrgreen:

You've been missed! I think we all go in spurts where we're posting constantly, and staying up all kinds of crazy hours to do so. We all have to find that balance of how much time we spend on this board. For those of us w/ OCD tendencies... well, I told myself I was getting to bed early tonight. Said that the other night too, and it was after 1 am when I finally went.

Looks like Sam is starting to get some lower preshots and some nice numbers during the cycle - around 50% drop in some cases - that's very good! And looks like he's trying to get away from the red numbers... even better! You're smart to let the dose settle in, and increase ever so slightly. Looks like you're both doing very well. Good job!!!

I know what you mean...! I told myself I was going to get some homework started but I'm here instead :lol: True, we need to find balance and I will try to do that instead of being extreme (either absent or online all the time).
I was able to do some "soul searching" and let a lot of the information that I learned here sink in my brain. I feel somewhat renewed now :lol:
I noticed Sam did better when I let the new dose settle in instead of waiting 3-4 days.
YEs I want him to get away from those red numbers, and pink ones too!! But today he went up pretty fast :/
well, one day at a time don't want to start freaking out all over again!!
 
He'll be fine. Just remember, Rome wasn't built in a day. The change will take time!

Now go study - I'm going to bed! :lol: (yeah right!)
 
true!!!!!!!! I was just hoping he would be off insulin before I went out of town in May. I don't usually enjoy myself when I'm away from my cats, and now that Sam isn't healthy it will be even harder. I will get over it. It is what it is for now :smile:

haha yeah right! I'm studying as hard as you are on your way to bed lol :D

Hey there you two! I know all about spring break- I had no access to the internet for the whole week :!: and have spent the last week and a half catching up on the homework :sad:

Unfortunately I already heard from 1 place and I didn't get the position ughh but I have another interview tomorrow. We'll see.

Good luck on catching up with your homework. It's NO fun. I'm still trying to catch up with mine and my internet was working :lol:
Sam had a pretty much flat cycle today. So annoying.

Hi guys! Don't feel bad sometimes other things in life are more important. Like trying to get a job. I hope your interviews went well. You have a offer yet?

Don't worry we will get you back on track. How knows maybe even get Sam in remission before your trip. We just had a OTJ party for Kitten last weekend. Euk is looking pretty good to, maybe a party soon for him. Kim's big orange cat Chewy is a few days away, but no party just yet for him. She will announce it hopefully soon. It would be great to have SAMs name on that list...well along with Baxter which doesn't look like is going to ever happen.

You take care of what you need to take care of we will still be here.

I haven't had any offers yet. I got a response from one of the places saying they chose someone else :? But I had another interview today, we'll see what happens!
It's so nice to hear other kitties are celebrating their OTJ! :mrgreen:

Today it's been a week since I increased Sam's dose to a fat 1u, he was doing better at first but now he is seeing mostly pinks :-| I'm thinking about raising his dose again on Thursday.
