Yesterday was an ugly start followed by an all day and night slide. Not sure how low she got, but today's +3.5 tells me she might have dropped lower while I was sleeping. Gotta love those surprise late night drops. ohmygod_smile

3/30 Recap:
AMPS 466 +4 388 +7 310
PMPS 289 +3.5 172 +5.5 169

Neko was feeling pretty good this morning, as a result of the nice AMPS. For once, she did not wake me, it was Theo who was doing the morning whine shift for breakfast. Neko had a good sniff session on the deck. It's still dry, sunny, light breeze, perfect cat weather.

I've noticed the last little while that Neko seems a bit stiffer. Acrocats can get a type of arthritis. I have been giving her some Recovery SA which is like Cosequan, but I just peeled off the price tag from the jar and noticed it's past it's expiry date. The IM vet at CSU had recommended Cosequan but I had the Recovery around which I'd used with success with Buster (GA). Now I'm all keen to go out and get some fresh stuff, but most of the stores will be closed today.

Happy Easter to those who celebrate it. I love the chocolate holidays! I hope everyone has a good dinner today - I'm thawing out rabbit for the kittehs.

Thanks to Ann and Lisa for their early morning visits while I was btb.

Re: 3/31 Neko AMPS 218 +3.5 400

Hi Wendy, so sorry to hear about the arthritis, poor girl. Paws crossed that the cosequan/recovery brings her some relief. Also, blech on this bounce! Hope she clears it soon. Thanks for the visit last night. Hope you have a lovely Sunday :)

Re: 3/31 Neko AMPS 218 +3.5 400

Oh yuck, Neko. You taking lessons on flying high, from Checkers?
Boy, I hate that what they do today, can depend on what they did overnight.

I hope you find relief for her arthritis, Wendy. Gosh, how I hate when our baby hurts!

I can't wait for it to dry out around here, so I can take Checks out to sniff. My yard is mostly mud...and soppy grass.

Have a nice evening, Wendy.

Re: 3/31 Neko AMPS 218 +3.5 400

Hope Neko got some solarium time today , help her arthritis feel a little better.

Looks like I need a new pc.... mine is sputtering hard ... so I hear you on not being able to shop.
Hope Neko doesn't go any higher and comes back down.

Wendy...to your family and kitties!!

PS...yes, Gus and Gracie interact alot. Since he is older, he tends to find his favorite places to nap; Tobey and Gracie make him a little nervous when they are wound up running around just because his arthritis makes him a little unsteady sometimes. But they both adore him and when they are moving slowly, they all three share lots of headbutts and kisses :-D

Happy Easter! I hope Neko clears the bounce soon. Hopefully you can get some cosequan for her soon.

Paws crossed Neko keeps sliding into the night. I did manage to find some more Recovery SA in one of the local pet stores, then took my frustration in the numbers out on the moss in my lawn. The moss is still winning but I did manage to get a couple of bags full. Not sure it was the best thing for my arm, but I did need to be out today. :? Neko joined me for a little while when I was outside.

@Courtney - I'm just kicking myself for not checking the Recovery expiry date earlier, but it was under the price tag. It does seem to help, but had lost it's oomph.

@Barb - Looks like both our cats came down later, just hope not too fast tonight! It's hard to tell with Neko how much she is hurting, but she does seem to be moving slower and it's taking a bit more effort to jump up, but she can still get up to the kitchen counter. Ugh on the mud, rain starts later this week so that will be us again.

@Rhiannon - Neko didn't spend as much time in the solarium as I thought today. She doesn't like getting too hot. I stopped testing at the 400, no need to know where she went after that.

@Marje - Thanks for the Easter wishes! We need more Gussy pics!

@Carla - Bounce is going away. Petsmart was STILL out of Cosequan, have been for 3 weeks at least, but I found the Recovery SA elsewhere.

@Kat - Don't we all love excuses for chocolate? Sliding in progress as requested.

Hey, Neko! Let's par-tay tonight and play lagoon limbo! How low can you go, cha-cha! How low can you go? -Kismet

At least she's slowed the rate down a very teeny bit, but still over 40 pts an hour. Just wish I knew what she was planning on for a nadir tonight.

Kizzie - lead the way and get your snorkeling gear on. I wanna check out some corals down there. ~Neko

I can't imagine the uncertainty and nerves that come along with acro... I am in awe of how you're able to manage her conditions. Kizzy has asthma which causes crazy spikes in his BGs from time to time, and that's a fairly easily managed dx. Surf safely, Neko! Don't dive too far, or you'll miss the corals! -K

+5 59
Applied a tsp HC, time to move into the sleep/test portion of the evening.

@Courtney - So far I've been reasonably lucky with the acro side effects on Neko. One of the major motivations for going with the SRT treatment was to avoid or mitigate the worst of them.
