Re: 3/31 Lucian PMPS@+8/257 +4.5/86 +5.5/96 +6.5/70
I've been scratching my head looking at Lucian's SS....
Since he seems to have somewhat similar patterns to Eddie at times, here's what I've seen with Eddie --
He seems to get longer duration if onset is later. This most often happens when he has a higher pre-shot, and for whatever reason, it takes longer for the insulin to pull him down, and then it just keeps working. The higher doses sometimes seem to have longer duration, too. I'm wondering if you can slow the drop early in the cycle so the insulin can't push him down as fast, if that might help stretch out the cycles. I've been experimenting with splitting Eddie's larger pre-shot meals into two portions. He gets roughly a total of 3 oz. (mixed with about 1/2 parts water) - 1/2 just before shot time, and the second half at about +2. The idea is so it doesn't spike him too much at pre-shot, and then to have onset coincide approximately with some more food. I can't really say whether this works or not, but that's kind of the rationale behind it. I know Lucian likes to eat frequently.

Do you think that might possibly work?
Or maybe you could experiment with slightly higher doses...the 2 looks pretty good on him overall...and try to maybe front load the food so as to avoid an early drop? That's the difficulty is that you might be aiming for longer duration, but you might get a steep drop instead. I don't know what you can do about the flat bounce cycles. I think you're handling them perfectly.

In fact, watching how you've handled Lucian gave me the confidence to shoot earlier when Eddie's sitting high and flat. Looks like Lucian does pretty much what Eddie does - short flat high cycle or two following a nice cycle or two. It seems like for Lucian, the early fast drops might trigger bounces moreso than green numbers?
