AMPS 254 (food included)

KT - my sweet baby wearin' his gold crown today! At least it's not that UUGLY pink toad suit huh!

We're struggling thru the second hatching of fleas after the first treatment of everything inside. I get to tear everything apart again today and spray again THEN maybe we'll not have to do it again for a couple of months. Living on an ancient sand beach lends itself quite well to terrible flea problems. I have to be very careful what type of flea spray I use inside - most of them will stir up Snowshoe's asthma. I've discovered that the 'Sentry Indoor' works well inside.

Share my 'quiet laugh' today....(shame on me...teeheehee). I raised my children by myself with very little income so learned to fix all sorts of things...including lawn mowers. 3 years ago, our mower quit, DH and others worked and worked on it and never got it running again. DH headed to Sears to buy a new one. While he was gone, I got out my tools, pulled and cleaned the carberator (can't spell it but I can fix it!), cleaned the needle valve good, reassembled and mowed the lawn. It STILL runs like a charm, it's still the preferred choice for both of us. TODAY - DH has worked on neighbor's mower over and over, yep, wouldn't run again. Every time before, he's turned down my offer of help. Today, he still couldn't get it running and FINALLY gave up, kicked the tire and said "fix it..."....he was mowing the lawn 15 minutes later..... :-D I'm sorry...I shouldn't laugh should I?????? (...teeheehee.....oh, sorry.....)

I didn't hang a picture on our wall today - I hope your imagination as I described the story above gives you a visual and a grin...

BIG HUGS!!!!

Re: 3/31 KT AMPS 254

   Good for you! Reminds me of Anne's cousin. A truck got stuck under an overhang at the gas station. The guys were coming up with all kinds of crazy solutions and finally Cyndy says "you could let some air out of the tires." and they all hemmed and hawed and said that will never work, blah, blah, blah until finally they let some air out.   We have daffodils about to bloom that haven't bloomed for 10 years and I thought of you. :-D KT, that yellow is ok but blue is better. Happy Caturday!

Hey Lyresa, our mower is broken. Can you zip over here and fix it?

Nice AMPS for KT today, and it even has food behind it? Lookin' good KT.

Check in with you again later. Good luck with the fleas!!!!! (don't bring along any stowaways when you come to fix the mower).

Glad there is no more pink toady for KT.

My DH is a smart guy but seriously lacking in the Mister-Fix-it skills. So similar to you, I've had to learn a lot myself. I haven't done a lawn mower though.

Once I put an alternator on a vintage sports car after my DH got frustrated - left it and went to play golf.
(I said vintage because older cars were much easier to work on. No computer or weird electronics. So don't be too impressed. LOL!)
When he got back the car was off the jacks and parked neatly. He came in and in a low voice said, "you fixed it didn't you?"
Among his friends, he has never lived that down. ohmygod_smile

One thing I learned in the last year is that achievement has virtually nothing to do with innate skill. It's really how hard you work at something and how motivated you are to get better. So guys (and gals) who aren't "mechanically inclined" are not deficient, they just truly have little interest in it and spend little time working at it. I can provide a couple of fascinating articles on this if anyone is interested. :-D

   and would you believe that pulling apart the lawn mower to see if I can get it working again is on my to do list - feeling much more confident about giving it a try now :-D
