Good Morning All
I didn't get a test during night last night, so don't know if this pink is a bounce. He's coming down nicely, tho.
Breffis eaten, second helping eaten. All is well.

OT: thank you for encouraging words last night, about cataract surgery. I know it's a very common procedure, but it's the eye, ya know?
It's getting hard to see tiny amounts of red blood in dark grey hair. His, not mine. :-D
Celi, it must have been interesting to say the least to watch your mom's surgery.
It would be cool to watch my own surgery on a monitor, like with a colonoscopy.
It is on April 14. No it was not impolite to ask.

 thats a relief

Is he ever coming down nicely - Impressive Checkers!

I could not watch my own surgery. No way. No how. I'd want to be completely out for cataract surgery also. Or pump me full of xanex.

Hmm. It appears the Rainbow Bandit's training operations may have been successful....

Will be sending you healing thoughts in these weeks coming up to your surgery! How long does cataract surgery take? I was blown away by how little time the lasik actually took. It was literally 8 seconds on each eye for me! I know what you mean about the eye thing... I was really nervous in the days leading up to the surgery, but I was really calm that day. Plus, I really appreciated that even though the procedure really was a cattle-call like operation, the doctor actually doing the surgery took the time to sit down individually with each patient, explain everything thoroughly one more time, and make sure nobody had questions. It just made it seem like he took his responsibility so seriously, and really calmed my nerves.

I'm sure you'll do great!!

Wow, look at Checkers drop!! Stay and surf a while, Checks!

Hi Barb, I know you must be apprehensive about cataract surgery, but just think: it's CATaract! Good sign there!! My sister had both eyes done and is very glad she did. She sees really well now (better than before cataracts, even). I have a friend who also had both eyes done and is delighted with the results. I know yours will go well, and it will be nice to be able to see a blood drop!! (I use a headlamp from my stash of hiking gear to see more easily the drop of blood; I got this tip from Phoebe and Charlie. It really works.)

Have a great Fursday!

Thank you for all the encouragement, ladies.
I like this doctor a lot. He has a sense of humor. Deadly serious docs make me nervous. nailbite_smile
He answered all my DD's intelligent questions, 'cause I was a babbling idiot. My head totally empties, when I'm scared.
Ella, where do you get such a headlamp? One of my biggest problems is getting Checks under a good light.
I got a great tip from Sienne, a while back about testing/shooting on the kitchen counter, so it would be easier on my back, but the light's bad there. A headlamp would be perfect.

Christie, doc said it would take around 15 minutes.....I think. It will be under light sedation, and I would wake up, WHILE he's still working. "WHAT?" says I. Says he...."You'll be so happy, you won't care"
I swear....he really said that.

Oh yeah, my cat.....he's doing beautifully , since I didn't sabotage him today.
:-D

I know you will be relieved when it is all said and done ... the other day when I was so loopy on vailum peter told me I asked the dentist if he was changing out my eyes  Then peter said the dentist said .. yes, but just the color

 @ Devon and the dentist. Good thing that's all you said to him. :-D
Susan told me that I told the gastro doc that he was cute. I think doctors sedate people, just to see what dumb things they'll say

Re: 3/31 Checkbook pmps 217

Hi again, Barb,
There are tons of different headlamps at all prices in the camping stores. Here's one I found at Campmor for you:
http://www.campmor.com/outdoor/gear/Product___55601

It's inexpensive and looks like it might be just right. Campmor is an excellent store to do business with. It's in NJ, so you don't pay sales tax, and they ship very fast. While you are on that web page you might want to look at the other headlamps--there are about 50 different ones! But you can't go wrong with the Princeton Tec brand (I have 2 Princeton Tec headlamps, but both are superseded).

You and Checks have a good evening,

Ella

Re: 3/31 Checkbook pmps 217

I am behind in looking at condos and am just finding out you are having cataract surgery. I know tons of people that have had the surgery and everyone has just breezed right through it. I know you are nervous but I think cataract surgery is one of the safest procedures to have and has a extremely high success rate. Your doctor sounds like a fun guy, especially since he says you are going to be so happy (happy drugs always help!).

Have a nice night!

Re: 3/31 Checkbook pmps 217

Hi, guys! i'm running late again today...but this boy keeps you on your toes.

laughing at the headlamp jokes...but i'd wear one!

of course, I wear a Tigger hat with ears and matching paw mittens around town...so... :-D

Hmmm, do I give the kid gravy, so I can sleep, or do I open up the James Patterson book I just started?

I bookmarked the headlamp website. I thing its a brilliant idea.

Tigger hat and paws? hehehee
